EGM: Before this came out in compilations, we used to put quarters in arcade machines.
Parker: You wasted quarters on this?
EGM: Yeah.
Parker: That's so sad.
I hear a lot of people mentioning it is not readily available for their linux system. For those running ppc and x86's on gentoo, you can `emerge planeshift`.
Early 2008 is a very optimistic goal. Professional analysis indicates "hackers" will surely have stolen the source code, forcing a rewrite and delaying it more than a year.

I think this is (an extreme of) how a lot of/.ers feel about their privacy. They feel that some things must be respected about their privacy. Tracking / catching terrorists would be a great thing, but it is a trade-off in this case; one that many don't want to make. Every time I go above the speed limit, instead of being arrested as a terrorist, I could be cited for speeding. This may sound paranoid, but once this threshold (of privacy) is breeched, it may never be mended and this stuff has a tendency of moving from catching capital criminals and terrorists to petty, non-violent crime.
Bottom line: we need to watch carefully who gets access to the black box data.

How do I resolve these issues?
Stop the application that is responsible for the failing connection attempts.
Suprnova has a real solution. It replaces the driver, apparently.

According to this, libpng is part of the source tree. My guess is static.
Ok, I found the bug report: here.
I think this was one of the vulnerabilities in Mozilla (Suite, Firefox, Thunderbird) that they already fixed and featured on /.
