"However, the majority of scientists who study climate questions, using a variety of techniques, conclude that the increased concentration of greenhouse gasses has contributed and will contribute to a warming of the earth's atmosphere."
LOL!
Majority acceptance is no proof, if it was the world would still be flat! I am wary of anything that uses popular acceptance as proof, especially when the details are covered up with handwaving.
I'm not flaming you, just adding my.025 (inflation). Your comment just happened to work well for what I had in mind.
Yes but I've never seen a "part 15" BROADCAST device that required a license to operate. I'm thinking that those two things are mutually exclusive.
So we are back to where we started, if your part 15 device is recieving interference from my part 97 transmitter and that part 97 transmitter is operating within it's design specifications, and it's control operator is duly licensed, the problem is with the part 15 device.
The broadcaster is in no way legally obligated to "fix" the part 15 device.
Since there are "hundreds" of regulations surrounding this, and they are all readily available on google, why don't you humour me and pull some up?
I spent quite a little time re-reading the Part 15 and Part 97 in their entirety before I made my first post and I'm standing by what I say unless you can prove otherwise.
People always complain that other peopel have closed minds, I'm giving you a chance to prove your case so step up or step off!:-)
You step up and take the Amatuer Radio Exam and when you pass you are a LICENSED operator and any transmissions you make from Part 97 gear DEFINETLY trump any intereference to your Part 15 device.
Now the Commercial entities are a differenent animal and I'm not at all sure how the rules apply to them. Still, I would have to say that if their licensed equipment is operating within regulations and design specs any intererference to your Part 15 devices is YOUR problem, not theirs.
In practice MOST Amatuer Radio operators will go tremendously far out of their way to assist a non "Ham" in resolving any interference issues. We are supposed to be amabassadors of good will afterall!
I myself have "upgraded" many a poorly built or designed piece of home electronics gear so that it will reject my Amatuer Radio signals, and done so for free.
In the end though I don't HAVE to do it, I do it as a courtesy and to help maintain neighborly relations.
Precisely none. He has been payed deferred compensation for the time he worked there (basically deferred salary payments from 1999) and his stock divedends. His stock dividends are being donated to CHARITY.
You should really learn to do your research before continuing the ignorant mouthings of the DNC spin doctors.
Are you absolutely sure that half duplex means what you think it does?
I'm pretty sure that half duplex, or conversely full duplex, refer to the ability of a unit to transmit and recieve at the same time.
In other words if your VOIP service is half duplex that means both parties cannot talk at the same time, like a walkie talkie. It's talk then listen, talk then listen.
Full duplex on the other hand allows for both parties to talk, and hear, at the same time. Sorta like if you had two walkie talkies each.:-)
Buh bye now, have a nice life. Don't let the door hitcha on the ass on the way through.
Before you go off on another long winded an totally inane rant you may want to check out what is REALLY going on in the world and who is REALLY shoving religion down other peoples throats.
Logically nothing can be PROVEN to be impossible. Anyone who claims to have such proof is a quack of the highest order. Your quotation of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics proves nothing besides your lack of understanding of the scientific process.
The Laws of Thermodynamics will probably eventually have to be folding into a larger concept of some kind. Much like "General" Relativity enveloped specific subsets of Newtonian physics.
At one point in history it was generally accepted physical theory that it was IMPOSSIBLE to sail around the world. (You would fall off).
Other generally accepted impossible scenarios include Heavier than Air Flight, compression ratios above 10:1 in an internal combustion engine, cloning, manned flight to the moon, the earth as anything but the center of the universe, and on ad nauseum.
History is piled high with the corpses of "impossible" things. Time changes all things, and what was once "impossible" is now commonplace.
I'm suprised to hear about the slow performance. I have an RCA DirecTivo and it works great. I bought it last year from Best Buy and I don't have any of the issues you describe.
My guide comes up in less then 2 seconds, the "now playing" in less then 5 and I have a similiar amount of Season Passes assigned and that list sorts out in under a minute.
I read somewhere that the slowness is generally an issue of RAM, perhaps you should look at opening your Tivo up and adding another stick?
Yeah I know, replying to myself and all...
Still it just amazes me that I get modded "Offtopic" but the four guys ahead of me who expressed the same sentiment all got "Funny" or "Insightful".

Windows XP, like all software, is only as good as the administrator in charge of it. I control literally HUNDREDS of Windows XP boxes as a hired gun administrator and none of them (none, zero, zip nada) have the kind of problems you describe.
I have an overclocked Athlon at home dual booting between SuSe 9.1 and Windows XP and do not have the problems you describe.
Windows XP Pro installed on my laptop (again dualboot to SuSe 9.1) running SP1 + SP2 and do not have the problems you describe.
I'm not particuraly trying to be an ass, but perhaps you should stop blaming the OS and look for another cause.
My years of experience with XP has taught me that functionally it spanks the crap out of any MS OS prior, INCLUDING Windows 2000.
Alas to my knowledge there is no.iso for the Pro version. Parent post referred to the Personal version so I thought I would chime in!:-)
However it is VERY possible to take the Personal version ISO, and after installing it use Yast to d/l all the "things" that you need such as Kernel Source, compilers, lib packeges, etc.
This is essentially what I have done at home, except I did an FTP install since the personal.iso wasn't available at the time I installed.
I actually DID order the 9.1 Pro, but after waiting for 6 weeks after it released Amazon still hadn't shipped it so I cancelled my order and did the way I described.
Of course I will, I'm no hit and run artist.:-) Personally I think both Bush and Kerry should be taken out back and beaten soundly with a shovle, but I particularly dislike people making Kerry out to be some kind of saint when he is provably not.
Anywho, here is the text with link at the bottom.
Kerry was (and remains) an effective spokesperson for his Leftist cadre. His anti-war protest period culminated with his 1971 congressional testimony, after which he told the press, "There are all kinds of atrocities and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free-fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50-caliber machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search-and-destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare. All of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions...."
Regarding the substance -- and source -- of Kerry's claims, Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking intelligence officer ever to defect from the Soviet bloc, says "KGB priority number one at that time was to damage American power, judgment, and credibility.... As a spy chief and a general in the former Soviet satellite of Romania, I produced the very same vitriol Kerry repeated to the U.S. Congress almost word for word and planted it in leftist movements. KGB chairman Yuri Andropov managed our anti-Vietnam War operation. He often bragged about having damaged the U.S. foreign-policy consensus, poisoned domestic debate in the U.S., and built a credibility gap between America and European public opinion through our disinformation operations. Vietnam was, he once told me, 'our most significant success'."
As for the success of Kerry's anti-democracy protests and his leadership of the VVAW and association with Fonda's Winter Soldier Investigation, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Vietnam's most decorated military leader, wrote in retrospect that if not for the disunity created by such stateside protesters, Hanoi would have ultimately surrendered.
But the consequences of Kerry's actions should not stop with the fall of Saigon.
Kerry, by his own account, violated the UCMJ, the Geneva Conventions and the U.S. Code while serving as a Navy officer, and he further stands in violation of Article three, Section three of the U.S. Constitution.
Upon entering the Navy in 1966, John Kerry signed a six-year contract (plus a six-month extension during wartime) and an Officer Candidate contract for five years of active duty and active Naval Reserve. This indicates that Kerry was clearly a commissioned officer at the time of his 1970 meeting with NVA Communists in Paris -- in direct violation of the UCMJ's Article 104 part 904, and U.S. Code 18 U.S.C. 953. That meeting, and Kerry's subsequent coddling of Communists while leading mass protests against our military in the year that followed, also place him in direct violation of our Constitution's Article three, Section three, which defines treason as "giving aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of warfare. (As General Vo Nguyen Giap is his witness....)
Thus, we refer our readers to the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, which states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President... having previously taken an oath... to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
It is for this reason -- for his record of giving aid and comfort to the enemy while a member of the U.S. Armed Forces in violation of his oath -- that we insist John Kerry resign his seat in the U.S. Senate. He has dishonored his family, dishonored his state and dishonored our nation. He is not fit for public office at any level of government, much less, the highest office in the land. John Kerry should resign

I could be wrong on this, but I doubt it.
Linux to the desktop, preferablly a "live cd" on the hard drive. Knoppix has this capability.
*nix on the servers EXCEPT that you use a Citrix Metraframe server to publish vertical apps that are incompatible with *nix.
Notice I said PUBLISHED APPS, not a full desktop.
Your problem your network is now scalable, robust, flexible and secure.
What more do you need?
This drive rocks! It's quiet, fast, and I've flashed the firmware to make it both region free AND faster than factory.
Newegg for $77, what could be better?
So move out.

"Canada is a big place. Quite a bit bigger than the US."
Ummm, no. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but simple geography disproves your statement.
The listed total size for Canda is 9,981,670 sq kilomters.
The listed total size for the United States (50 states + District of Columbia) is 9,631,418 sq. kilometers.
Now before you get your knickers in a twist and say "I told you so" you need to understand that those figures include WATER.
If you remove WATER from the figures, since fish really don't have any use for broadband, it turns out that that the United State is LARGER.
Here are the numbers:
Canada Land Only size = 9,093,507 sq. kilomters
US Land land only size = 9,161,923 sq. kilometers.
Ooops. In landmass the US is LARGER then Canada, and even giving you the watersize is it STILL not "quite a bit" bigger.
Not a flame, but it irritates me when people don't check their facts before spouting off. I hope you have a pleasant day.
If I had the points I would mod you up.
I already have such a script, it is called "YAST". :P

Damn, that is sad and just terribly counter to my notion of the Olympic spirit. I'm sorry to hear the restrictions placed on your Olympic coverage.
