"ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" originates from the intro to a Sega Genesis game (also previously an arcade game) entitled "Zero Wing." It features the most inept Japanese-to-English translation in video game history.
walkerart.org points to the site of the Walker Art Center, located in downtown Minneapolis.
As far as I can tell, that's not in San Francisco.
I'm a bit confused. Maybe we both are?

You obviously did not use any non-Western toilets. Traditional Japanese toilets are squat-over-the-hole types, although they are much, much cleaner (generally) than those the original poster had experiences with. I never used one but I saw a lot of them.
I have to admit, the heated seats are nice! You'd probably only find those in homes and in nicer hotels, however.
I found it quite amusing, as many made up stories with made up characters are, to those of us who actually (gasp) read fiction. Just because you didn't find it funny doesn't mean it is of no value or 'immature' as you put it. I challenge you to find a 3rd grader who would find this story interesting, or even understand it.
I know there's no way this guy will actually spend the 7 years behind bars, but violent criminals like murderers and rapists get sentenced for less. Are the courts sending the message that spamming is equivalent to rape in the eyes of the law? ***
"Strategery" and the others were probably conceived by SNL writers, but based on seeing the man speak, and quotes I've read and heard, I wouldn't put a mistake like that past good ole GWB.
I wish I had the URL, but there's a great resource out there of many of the strange, incorrect, and downright stupid things W has said publicly. A couple of my favorites:
"I know it's hard for you to put food on your family."
(I'm paraphrasing this one) "I know it's a budget. It's got lots of numbers in it."
I wish I had the URL handy... maybe I can find it... ***
On the other hand, a trade school usually gets you in and out in less than a year. It's designed for retreads (ie: tires) -- for painters and truckers and dropouts who need a career that pays a better wage.
I read "retreads" as "retards"... funny, it means about the same thing.;-) ***
As fucked up as it is, it is taboo (if not outright illegal) in Japanese society to represent male genitals in art/photography/whatever, so porn "artists" get around this restriction by penetrating the little schoolgirls with tentacles, etc. Disgusting, eh?
What's wrong with the computer-based GRE? I took it last month and everything went fine. I certainly like it better than the (still paper-based) GRE subject test. Bubble sheets suck. ***
I'm an undergraduate student, and I am getting paid (very little money, but the experience is invaluable!) as a research assistant for a professor in our CS department. The money comes directly to me, and although I could choose to apply it to my tuition, I usually just use it for spending cash.
AFAIK, any code I write will essentially be free (as in speech, if not as in beer) for the public to use. What license or whatever I don't know, but I'm technically working for the government, so it's probably theirs to decide. ***
Why just the Americans?

Next time, use "Bumfuck, Iowa," or if you want to use a real city, say Dubuque, Iowa ;-)

Winnipeg is the Kansas of Canada!
That's not a very good analogy, since Winnipeg is a city and Kansas is a state. Time to brush up on your North American geography.

So is it nevrax.com or .org? Either way, it's slashdotted. Sounds interesting though.

You posted the above with a +2? Why??

I almost fell for it, because it seemed legitimate. I check my links, too.
Someone put up a goddamn mirror. And fix Extrans while you're at it.

You ass, I almost fell for that.

Slashdotted already! Anyone got a mirror?

Goats the Comic Strip used a similar storyline where a corporation patented the human genome. It's quite funny, as are the rest of the strips.

I could be wrong, of course, since IANJ.

Wouldn't it be pronounced to-ri-ni-chi, then, because the t in ti is changed to a 'ch' sound?
Pardon my ignorance, I'm just beginning to learn Japanese.

For the record, Fosters is made in Canada. It's a good beer by USA standards, but as another poster noted, Aussies don't actually drink it.
