sounds to me like you should complain in the one way they actually take notice of. take your business to another bank, tell them you're closing your account because they've designed a shitty site which doesnt work in your OS (doenst matter if that last part is true or not, it lays fault entirely on them as you have no alternative)
what the heck is a FOB? is thats just another name for a pendrive you'll probably get it mounted with
mount/dev/sda1/mnt/usb
of course, you'll have to create the/mnt/usb folder, and depending on which usb port you plug into it could be/dev/sdb1/dev/sdc1 etc. hope thats what you were after
I call that a feature. I hate recieve emails from some moron who thinks yellow text on white backgrounds look funky. its an email, it should be plain text. you want formatting? make a website, email me that. ill probably trash it without looking though
im curious to know the apparent strings you think gmail has. with the tiny amount of user info they collect (your name, thats all) i really doubt that there are any more strings than yahoo
I trust google too. they only required me to give a first name, last name, password and desired username to sign up. they are not an intrustive PoS company that wants completely unnecassary details like certain others:D
toasters have died, and have been replaced by functionally better toasters. please explain why people wouldnt swap to a replacement for email if it meant no more spam, worms and other crap?
Note: dont bother attacking the feasability of such a replacement, thats not what I asked for. explain why if it existed, you wouldnt use it
yeah but they're used to it. the brits pay too much for just about everything. I buy a cup of coffee over here and its like AU$5-6. it'd be funny if I werent living here
Im in the uk right now and im guessing the "change" didnt stick. i go into tesco and go to buy fruit but have NFI how much its going to cost cause all the prices are per lb. i refuse to learn a dated and outdated system of measures and will be glad to get back home to.au in a few months
speed has no base unit in any measuring system, its a comparion of distance traveled to time taken. i fail to see where you're trying to take this smart guy
if i didnt already know you were wrong, I'd agree with you. that is one place where they fucked up. the kilogram should really be named the gram, but its too late to fix that now.
haha... for a minute there i was wondering how you got modded up cause i thought that link was to nethack.net, then i clicked and and realised im a retard:P
If there's one thing that bugs me about Mozilla it's that I can't make it open up clicked links (in email or other external sources) into new tabs in the existing Mozilla window.
The original (I'm told the SP2 version is better) windows firewall does not protect people from any of the attack vectors I've seen coming through my network so far this year. how this guy got modded +5 informative I'll never understand. the whole post relies on this highlighted statement, which is entirely false. I'm don't particularly like MS but spreading anti-MS FUD is not better than MS spreading anti-linux FUD. if you enable the builtin firewall, you are at least as safe as though you were behind a NAT box, which is at least safe enough to patch your machine even on 56k.
yeah, always a laugh. even better is when they get fed up and cant figure out how to quit. esc... nope. C-c... nope. C-q... nope. ":q" isnt the first thing to come into someone head when they want to quit a program
As an australian currently living in the UK I'd just like the point out that we are getting a better deal on petrol than a few places. Around here petrol goes for 80-90 pence per litre, approximately AU$2.10 per litre. once I get back I'm never going to look at petrol prices the same way I used to:P </offtopic>
to be frank, ive never used the software in question. i dont even have a dvdr drive (yet). i just know that its software that shrinks dvds to fit on dvd-rs and that it cant be doing that on the fly

sit tight and wait for the Apocalypse

err... Geforce 6.
GeforceFX == geforce 5 series Geforce 6XXX == geforce 6 series
I don't know what I'm gonna do on my 5 week trip abroad without internet access.
Get a decent free email provider?

You can't even do easy physics calculations unless you use m/s anyway
as long as its in [insert SI prefix here]-metres per second you can do physics calcs with it just fine
