    I'd really like to see an option to eliminate silence from the beginning and end of tracks (for mp3s ripped from a CD that transition from track to track seamlessly), since mp3s round off to the nearest frame instead of an exact song length, adding extra milliseconds of blank space. The feature to eliminate that is one of my favorite features of Winamp.

    That, and crossfading options are the things I really want in an mp3 player

    You can deny me the 30 dollar rebate coupon and kick me out of the store, but the damage that my word of mouth is going to do will be 100x the cost of that coupon.
    Thats not really a threat to an employee, jackass! Do you think some guy getting paid minimum wage gives a toss if you cost the store business? No! Of course not. If you try and make their life difficult, chances are they will do the same in return.

    I dont live in a country with best buys so im left wondering two things. what does PSP actually stand for (i understand its some sort of service warrenty) and are these guys getting loads of commision on PSPs or something? Otherwise I can't understand why someone would try so hard to sell you crap.

    I'll take that compromise if it mean less clueless morons running completely unsecured PCs

    it's really not that big a deal to turn off the firewall yourself, and I dont see your point on installing updates prior to shutting down your pc. if you're using automatic updates (as opposed to plain ol' windows update) it should be automatic

    It must have been quite a while since you bought a new pc buddy. These days regardless of your OS its unlikely you'll need to open your case for anything short of upgrading components. yes, even with linux.

    So they were for being against opposing patents. This is your brain on drugs.
    The Dutch parliament opposes their minister's opposition to the amendments which opposed software patents.

    Err, but it pops up after the page loads. So, assuming you got to whatever form first hit, AND typed everything in under 300ms, AND then pressed enter at the right time...I guess it could happen, anything is possible. ;)

    I own a sony MZR-900, which has a length and width of about the same as a minidisc (plus a little around the edges of course), and a thickness of about 3 and a half stacked minidiscs. I've had a quick look at a MuVo2 in a shop and it was pretty much the same size as my MD player.

    looks like a damn nice player, but I'll hold off as I'll probably be inheriting an ipod from a friend in a few weeks *fingers crossed*

    I guarantee you that a small MD player with a disc in it is MUCH smaller than any HD-based player (at the moment).

    had a look at the roadmap and in 1.0b Greenlane a planned feature is an ActiveX installer

    now hold on just a second... whats going on here? isnt ActiveX the root of most of IE's vulnerabilities?

    out of all the cities on that list I've only been to Melbourne and Sydney, but i was recently in Tokyo and would have to say that list is screwed up. even if Melbourne and Sydney were combined i doubt they'd match Tokyo for its number of skyscrapers. heck, London belongs somewhere on that list if Sydney gets a place
