  1. Toms Hardware back in the day.... on Ask Slashdot: What Review Sites Do You Consult For IT Equipment? · · Score: 2

But now I just stick to Amazon.com, NewEgg.com and the like to see the reviews. Once Tom's Hardware traded hands way back when it followed the rest of the industry of just regurgitating vendor claims and I quit reading it, maybe I should check it out and see if it's improved.

Hrmmm, so the new Apple killer that everyone has been claiming it would be lacks cameras, GPS and storage. It's not even an Android tablet competitor (vs. the likes of the Xoom, Iconia, etc....). And to top it of it's a "transitional" tablet, with the "real" one coming out sometime in 2012. Gah. I was actually excited until I read the specs. If it had at least copied the basic hardware the HP Touchpad came out with it'd have been an iPad killer especially with Amazon's backing and a 199 price, but as it sits it's just a color nook with Angry birds.

I agree. And like I said, he could be in the same boat as your friend but the media chooses just to rely on the fact he was a sex offender and happened to be using an OPEN AP (they said it was for customers, can they prove he never bought anything in those 3 months?) And can you just buy one thing and use it as much as you want, or must you buy something each time to use it, etc...? Any decent lawyer will be able to get him off the hook and probably even get him some money from this whole thing.

I believe they put the fact he was a sex offender in to scare the sheeple seeing as the title sex offender doesnt just cover pedophiles or rapist, but those are the first things to pop into your mind when you read the title. It's just pure shock value. The should have said he had an 'arsenal of high powered weapons' in his car (Three .22 rifles...) AND he was a sex offender (He streaked naked across his campus) if they really wanted to get people up in a frenzy. Facts don't sell, shock does. Look at CNN and Foxnews.

How DARE they release a product that defaults to their mode of search! I can't even change it to another search engine! Monopoly! Anti trust! The sky is falling! Get over it people.. Sheesh

Which, as stated is your opinion and not fact. FACT: We sell stripped down and neautered aircraft to many allies (you think we are actually going to put the same software / hardware capabilities on potential enemy aircraft? ha!) FACT: Dog fighting is obsolete, and this is NOT Vietnam anymore. Sorry guys, the good old days of dog fighting is long gone. Hence the ending of the Top Gun, etc... The basics are still taught, but in a very limited fasion. I.E: If you can't hit them with your AIM-9s, 120s, etc... your wingman will. (look up the hit probabilites on these weapons systems...) RWR and the such make up for the pilots lack of abilities as well. RADAR is awesome. So, sorry to bust up your keyboard commando fantasies of America (and Russia)selling fully capable aircraft to allies. It's quite laughable and I'll have to show some of the guys, and get some kicks.
