As mentioned above, how does this apply to asexual organisms? Also, what about the occasion crossbreed: Horses and donkeys, for instance, produce mules, yet they are different species.
A problem with this is that there really is no clear-cut differentiation between "planet" and "planetoid". There's no qualifying size-- it's more subjective than anything. Almost like different species: we all differ genetically, yet a species is a generally-recognized "set".
One agreed-upon qualification is being formed round by its own gravity. I'm not sure if that applies to Sedna.
I'm not nitpicking, but it's not virii, it's viruses. Look in the dictionary, or dictionary.com. It's viruses. Also, you can google for it as well, for more info.
Once someone was selling a car headlight modification they didn't have. The way they were busted was rather unique-- they posted pictures (hosted off-site, of course) of a car that wasn't theirs.
The person who owned the site saw the traffic coming from the ebay page. He then proceeded to change the images to one insulting the scammer in a very something awful-esque way, and photoshopped eyes over the car headlights. It was hilarious-- anyone have a link to it?
Planet 10? What 10th planet would this be? I know that recently a planetoid in our solar system (furthest known thing orbiting our sun) was found, but no "10th" planet.
Not everyone can code. I don't know a dash of, say, perl, python, etc, I know only a tiny pinch of Java and a handful of C++. People who may want perl support in apache aren't always those who can program.
True story: Once I dreamt that SCO was a really small company (moreso than they are--one of those odd dream things) and I bought them (don't ask). I then proceeded to fire Darl McBride (weird dream, you know-- I bought them...) during a press conference or something. You won't believe how good it felt. Seriously.
I have spent too much time here at Slashdot, and I fear it is showing.
This is essentially one big kludge. The government has stupid rules, and then we have to make more rules to account for those stupid rules. I say we re-write the entire "code", that is, the relevent laws.
I'm an American, and I agree with you. People complain about government intervention here, but then they whine when the government doesn't intervene to suit their wants.
I know I'll be flamed to death and modded down, but the government should have nothing to do with outsourcing and restricting those companies who do.
It should be responibility of the consumer to buy American-produced products, not for the government to control whether we can decide who we hire or not, or where.
Vote with your dollar, but don't let the government have more power to control us.
Also, let us not forget that Indians are people too. Countries are man-made divisions between people, but in the end, we all need to eat, drink, get medicine, and have fun. Is an Indian life less important than an American one?
Really, I don't have much of an opinion on this issue, because I just want to buy cheap, efficient products, and I use Linux anyway so most of the software is freely available. I can see why people are complaining (Americans need jobs!), but then again, so do Indians, and they work for less.
So, again: If you don't like a companies' practice, don't buy their products. Don't let the government have more control.
I'm neutral on this debate, but you're wrong. An insult is not necessarily an ad hominem, and it does not weak a case any to resort to an insult.
An ad hominem is trying to discredit someone by some irrelevent fact. Here are two examples:
"James Randi doesn't believe in god, so what does he know about spirituality? He must be wrong."
"He's just a priest, so his arguments about abortion are wrong."
Now, from what I've seen it seems that Bush really did win the election. To me, it doesn't matter much, as I dislike both democrats and republicans (I'm more libertarian). I hate Bush with a passion, too. I really don't know a lot about law, though.
But calling Democrats "rats" as a mocking insult is not an ad hominem, and it does not weaken or effect his other points.
Bullshit, it is in escrow. In fact, the rules state that they will not pander to escrow requests due to the large amount of claims they need to test, but the JREF bent over backwards of Sylvia Browne and indeed placed it in escrow. Your little idol, Sylvia is the one evading the JREF. In fact, Sylvia won't accept any mail from the JREF.
While it's true that the drivers need to be installed for windows as well, keep in mind that most windows users are usually an admin user. Also, it's done through the command line in Linux, whereas in windows it's all done through the GUI.
Also, you entirely forget that the Linux kernel is free and updates more frequently. With Windows, you really have to buy a new version.
I've installed the NVidia drivers multiple times, and I've gotten errors that the common gamer probably wouldn't be able to fix (I consider myself a Linux newbie, but I still have some computer saavy).

It's an understandable mistake.
How utterly and completely stupid. Boycott, but don't pass laws outlawing outsourcing. This is brainless.
This is an outrage! Next thing you know, Nintendo will outsource to some obscure place, like Japan!
Of course. And stupidity is a monopoly that the government has deep ties in.
Oh? What did the bastard say?

Darl must be jealous that his Unix isn't that good.
Certainly not. Darl McBride is a Mormon. He's doing what Jesus wants him to do.

And I agree with you entirely. Because, of course, the government has too much control.
We're weaving a complex web of government control and irrationality here.
I'm an American, and I agree with you. People complain about government intervention here, but then they whine when the government doesn't intervene to suit their wants.

In the case of windows, it's clever marketing.
Or just go into command line (CTRL+ALT+F1 to F6) and type in "init 3", then "init 5" to start up X again
