Yeah and it appears the old Mozilla Firebird team didnt even know the Firebird database existed before Mozilla used the name Mozilla Firebird for the open source browser.
Searching yahoo.com's search engine for yahoo search's user agent will always be a little more biased towards the competitor, due to the fact many websites great their visitors with "your using this browser, OS, user-agent" etc

I beleive there maybe some people profiting from viruses such as MyDoom, if you think about SCO's internet provider there would be a lot of internet traffic and the way internet traffic is charged is the upstream provider charges the downnstream provider, while the charge for the data is not much the large amounts of data SCO will be receiving should add up to the maximum amount, or do i have it wrong? If someone is loosing money, you normally have someone making money.
yeah that is true and i think MyDoom is the start of something that could be very big, imagine a DDOS on all the antivirus companies at the same time with a large number of new and different style viruses being released.
As i said yesterday, could also have been a SCOX holder or someone who missed out on the big SCOX ride. Maybe someone made a loss on SCOX and want to get back at the crappy company.
according to netcraft mikerowesoft.com runs on Linux, i wonder if MS didnt like the PR of this.
Listening to someone saying, "mikerowesoft.com runs on Linux" meybe interpreted as microsoft.com runs Linux.
It appears the virus is doing a good job, SCO's website is slow responding and as usual we have a feature from netcraft on the DOS effect http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2004/01/27/fastm oving_virus_launches_ddos_on_sco.html
I always wondered when this was going to be released.

Knoppix ought to put a pop up message each time an application is run from CD warning its users that it is highly likely that the application they are running would be faster if it was phsically installed on a hard disk.

You are right, we should blame the car manufacturers for being pursuaded by Microsoft and ofering us no further choice of systems powered by BSD, Linux and other non-MS systems.
Hey, it could be worse,/. could announce every new test release of the 2.6 kernel and we have had 11 of these so far for 2.6. We could also have announcements of every pre kernel release.
Ok, How much do i get for migrating my Linux servers to IBM AIX or OS/2 Warp?

You should research before you post, FreeBSD developed TCP/IP and the same TCP/IP is used by Microsoft, and it wasnt stolen by anyone.
You should learn about the licencing of GPL, BSD and MPL etc If you think you know how to beat Microsoft, you may use the GPL to your advantage and set up your own Linux company.
SCO may turn around and revoke NMAP's right to detect SCO's Operating Systems over a network.

OpenBSD was developed from NetBSD, and could be called an enhanced NetBSD so NetBSD carries the greatest risk of also being vulnerable.

$250K is just SCO encouraging the creation of more viruses that DDOS SCO, lets hope they offer another $250K next time a virus creates a DDOS on SCO.

To have the title "Master Software Project Estimator" on a resume would have to blow away all the other applicants to a job.
