This nation thinks everyone can afford a monthly payment, forced payment for phones, insurance, healthcare. and If you can't pay the $300 a month in "affordable" programs, you are fined beyond recovery. Yes we have to move forward, but this shit has to stop, we need to provide help if we are going to require instead of fining the poor.

  11. Corporations on Mozilla Foundation Launches Mozilla Corporation · · Score: 1

When a company forms into a corporation, the board usually symbolizes the end of innovative thought for a company. There is a reason large corporations cant break formats. A: if its broke dont fix it as long as it makes money B: brain drain, the real ideas cant make it past management C: Formats that work cant be broken for formats that may be infinitely better. A prime example is Microsofts challenge to google.. They cant break googles search dominance, because the refuse to give up their "format" of msn.com as a portal page. Google not only has a one stop page, but they allow the user to create aportal now aroudn it if they want. Myself, I will always take the 1 second loading plain and simple homepage of google.com, which I even use to test my connections.. faster than cmd shell. Corporations signal the end of innovation, and the beginning of buying comglomerates.

  15. Processing is Relative on RPOW - Reusable Proofs of Work · · Score: 1

The problem is processors and memory is clustering and becoming faster, so the relevance of a POW is relative. 2 seconds on a P4 3.0 with hyperthreading is like 30 seconds on a p4 1.7.

And clustered linux or multiprocessor servers with tons of 600Mhz DDR will 2 seconds be 2 seconds?

Probably not, it will probably be a 1/4 of a second, so we start coding more complex algorithms, and we outdate our old server software instantly because it now takes our Win2k or Cobalt mail or print server a half hour to send 1 email.
