You download it, figure out the API (i.e. look at documentation, not the code itself, so you don't see the weird syntax), and integrate calls to it into your code.
Um, downloading it would probably be downloading the.Net framework SDK. So I certainly hope that you'd know that you were using a.Net feature.
If a language is not ISO C++, it is not C++ and should not have C++ as part of the name.
Um, is the point of what MS is doing is to add the C++/CLI as PART of the ansi standard? That is, they are trying to extend the standard so that calls to.Net code is easier. Honestly, I don't see the problem with that.
Doesn't part of ANSI C support extensions that can interact with assembly language?
but let me explain something. Acura's are basically the European Honda
No, Acura is Honda's 'higher end' line, much like Audi is from VW, Lexus is from Nissan, Mercury is from Ford, etc.
For example (and yes, i know what i'm talking about, i researched both), my TLS has all the features of an Accord, but with a few nice extras. The S type adds even more (better traction control, suspension, etc).
Kia's from 2006 on are now fully Hyundai powertrains and some have Porsche tuned suspensions... Kia' snow are much different than Kia's of even a year ago.
This may be true; both of our cars are the '03 models. Kia launched a new model that is supposed to be more of a luxury / sports car. I'm trying to find it on their site, but it doesn't seem to load at the moment.
BMW also has had their share of dogs, and while they are "perceived" as a high quality brand they are not always so. This goes back to what I was saying.
This is true of any company, so I don't see how its relevent. As far as perception goes, overall BMWs are much higher quality than a Kia or Toyota counterpart. I belive the perception is well earned; I see alot of BMWs, Acura, and Audis which date back to the 80s. The bodies are not what they used to be, but they always appear to be running just fine. Other manufacturers I don't even see their 80s models still running, and if they are, they're usually burning oil, the muffler is about to fall, etc. I think that speaks alot to the level of quality.
People's perceptions are not always gospel, and most often are based on imperfect data. Personal experience (just as yours with your wife's Kia), media, advertising, and hype to name a few.
There's also hard facts. Check out resale values, reliablity of models over the years, and you'll see that Acura and BMW are rated much higher than a Chevy or Kia. I checked out the numbers in '02 when I was looking and did look at Kia; they seemed to pretty quickly degrade, while Acura (and Honda) had excellent reliablity.
No, you should learn to read. I'm saying that we shouldn't give up our rights when enforcing laws, not that we should stop all together. No ammount of enforcement will stop someone who is determined, therefore it doesn't make sense to give up rights to attempt to, since the attempt will ultimately fail.
True, they may extend the deadline again. I wasn't aware that USA network, for example, would not be required to send HD content; that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I know, its the gov't..
RE: HD -> SD converters, yes, they will have these for people that just don't want to throw away an existing set. But when it comes time to buy a new one, I think people will opt for the HD (especially if a lot of stations are now broadcasting in HD). Personally if most stations were HD and I had to buy a new set, i wouldn't get an SD, b/c I'd feel like I'm wasting my money on the cable (assuming most of its offering are then HD).
Unless the law is changed though, ALL TV will be HD in a few years. I know, your set will not suddenly stop working, but I have a feeling there WILL be a big push to get HDTVs as that deadline gets closer, which should drive the price of a new set down.
I do notice a slightly better picture quality for SuperBits, but my main reason to buy the SuperBit version is that they use DTS, which to me is much better sound quality the Dolby Digital.
I'd argue that none of those things buys you any real safety at all, temporary or permenate. Do you really think that someone determined to kill alot of people won't be able to pull it off, even with the violations of liberties?
Life is dangerous, you should get used to it.

Nope, you have it down pat. Its really as simply as turning two screws, removing the wires from them. Just remember to have some wire caps to keep all the other lines in your house connected to each other.
It takes about 5 minutes.

I still think that one of the biggest obstacles to VoIP is that they don't make it super-obvious how to use your normal in-house wiring with their service to make it indistinguishable from a handset/wiring perspective. That's what keeps people like my mother from considering it.
Which is odd, because its incredibly easy to do. Find the grey telco box, and disconnect the bunch of wires from the terminals, and make sure the other wires are all attached, by color.

I dumped Verizon for Vonage for two reasons, the main one being they refused to send me a bill. No problems sending me a termination notice after a few months, but they never once sent me a regular monthly phone bill. They blamed the post office, although, oddly enough, the ONLY bill I was getting every month was the phone bill. So I switched.. the second reason was b/c vonage was cheaper for unlimited calls (which, unlike Verizon, includes LD).
I don't think anyone does; employers seem to list their dream candidate, but will pick someone who is most of the way there (because said dream candidate doesn't exist).
Does this mean I can't even apply for a Java job if I only know C#? Or Sql Server if I've only used Oracle?
Oh yeah, that's right... too many global warming chicken littles out there are going to have egg on their face if atmospheric C is reduced to pre-industrial levels and global temps are still rising thanks to the simple fact that the sun is getting hotter.
And the sun's temperature has absolutely NOTHING to do with heating the earth. Throw water outside of the space station, and it will freeze pretty darn quickly.
Also, our sun isn't heating up, its cooling down. It happens to all stars as they are. If it were heating up, it'd be looking more blue than red.
The consequences of smoking and drinking aren't that hard to grasp either, yet children tend to flock to both when given a chance.
Did you ever stop and think that the reason that is true is because everyone keeps telling them they cannot do those things? Stop making such a big deal about it, and it loses much of the appeal. Remember, kids usually want to act at being older than they are.
I think slashdotters 'refuse' to accept your studies because they have many friends who play violent games, and are not violent, and know that there are MILLIONS more like them, who are not violent either.
I find it insulting to have to pay the dealership $80 to turn of the check engine light when some one didn't tighten the gas cap up after refueling.
Care to mention the manufactorer? Because most cars that light the service indicator because the cap hasn't been tightened enough will reset on their own after three fillups.
Well, I personally consider Doom3 to be a pretty highend game. Plus, I've gotten games working through Wine that ended up using the Linux drivers provided by Nvidia.
Like me; I'm too far from the CO for DSL, so that leaves my only broadband option as cable. I'm hoping that Burlington Telecom comes out my way soon, because the prices they are (or, will be) charging gets me more bandwidth for less money, and its a synrconized connection to boot!
I'm hoping that cities do more to roll their own services.
Burlington for example is going to put Fiber to the home, and offer great packages. For $15 less than I pay the telco now, soon i'll be able to get 4MB down AND up, instead of 3down, and 768 up..
I think the only hope to keep the internet free and open like it is would be for the state to take ownership of lines, and allow companies to buy bandwidth to sell services.

Same for BMW, and the rest of your list.
You've obviously never driven a BMW then. It most certainly is a higher quality car than a Kia.

I bet you wouldn't be able to find other solutions. Its doubtful you'd even be allowed to run yet more lines, even if you had the money to do so.
