Yep, I'm in software engineering right now and I'll be getting my Bachelor's of Engineering Science at the end of April 2008. You are still a software engineer, you just can't say you're a professional engineer without getting your P.Eng by writing the test and passing all the requirements.
There was the Ring which was a VHS tape you watch and then the dead girl kills you magically. Then there's another one basically the same where you get a voice mail message but your phone doesn't ring or it rings with a different ringtone or something. Then you die from that magically. Fucking stupid and it's basically the same movie with a few details changed.
You don't think they'd sell DRM free music from all labels if they could? Of course they would. The labels are being assholes by only allowing Amazon to sell DRM free tracks because Amazon is more flexible on pricing. I believe something like this could be challenged in court by Apple because if this is having a significant effect on Apple's sales and the labels are doing it on purpose to hurt Apple's market share of digital music sales then this would probably be illegal. At least it should be.
iTunes by itself does not and has never required a reboot. What requires reboots is Quicktime which is always listed as a separate install. iTunes is an application only and has never by itself required rebooting.
Yes it comes with it's own power adaptor that is the small one shown next to the larger MB/MBP one in one of the pictures. I don't know why they complain about the other power adaptor besides just adding words to their article.
Didn't you see the mag safe adaptor that comes with it? It's a 90 degree adaptor that fits while the MBA is on any flat surface. The one they showed on the edge of the table is the MB adaptor and they only show it so you can see how you have to use the MBA adaptor.
Yeah that's nice but you only get a few channels if you're lucky. That might be good enough for you but there are many channels I wouldn't get from OTA such as movie channels, discovery HD etc. Where I live there's not a whole lot you could even pick up anyways. http://www.digitalhome.ca/hdtv/idx/0/426/article/Canadian_OTA_HD_Channel_Lineup.html You can see not many channels in Canada broadcast OTA HDTV and outside of those large cities you'd probably not have much luck picking up any good signal.
I don't live in the US, but Canada. That's what they say the hijackers used to take over the plane. It does sound like BS to me but so does the passport of a hijacker they supposedly found on the ground which somehow escaped the huge fireball unscathed.
That's not the official story. The official story is that passengers hijacked the plane with box cutters(small razor blades). They were somewhat trained however not very good pilots. Just good enough to fly into a building. It's almost complete bullshit however because many of the supposed hijackers have been found alive in other countries. http://www.google.ca/search?q=911%20hijackers%20alive
I can think of one drawback which is premature wear on the compressor contactors. It's not that good to have them keep going on and off because of the initial arcing which causes a lot of wear already. That plus short cycling the compressor is not good for the air conditioning system.
Maybe it's not for YOU but you are not at all the majority. Many many programmers are switching to Macs because they come with many of the things a programmer needs out of the box. Any open web development(php, ruby on rails, perl etc) can easily be done on a Mac without installing any other software. It comes out of the box with apache, mysql, RoR framework etc.
There's also DarwinPorts which is much like fink and you can easily install most command line programs with a simple command "sudo port install xxxx".
Add to that gcc and a good and free IDE for developing Mac applications, OS X is a great platform for developers.
Just the fact that you have to worry about that kind of stuff is one reason why Linux isn't used by more people. Opening network files should just work, it's the responsibility of the OS to provide the abstraction to the applications.
That's exactly what I'm hoping for. If you could do that and rent movies for a reasonable price near that of regular DVD rentals I'm sold(if it's in Canada). It's dumb to have to download it all to your computer first and then stream it to the TV. The Apple TV is much more capable than what Apple has it doing right now.
Comcrap and many other ISPs are already throttling bittorrent and some other traffic. I can't imagine this will go over well with them if it actually takes off. I agree they should just fix their damn network but they aren't and anything like this service wouldn't work on their network if it gains a large adoption.
The worst part is they can just take your shit from you without asking. My laptop battery costs over $100 new and I don't want some asshole basically stealing it from me. Some idiot TSA agent stole my half bottle of water that had about 200mL of water in it. I could have just drank it down in a second and there'd be no problem.
The Genius Bar staff are Mac Geniuses. They're supposed to know a lot about Macs(and sometimes they aren't as knowledgeable as you'd think). If this makes you uncomfortable somehow maybe you should see a psychiatrist.

Yeah this is bullshit. I don't even listen to music or download it so fuck that if I have to pay this $5 for something I don't use.
An arm AND a leg instead of just your arm.
Waste the mother fuckers (Samuel L. Jackson)
I just feed all my shredded documents to my worms(no joke)

That's why you have a test system. It's not really that hard to understand.
So why are you installing BETA software on a machine that you need for work?

What are you, 12? Haha, you're gay because you have a Mac. Get a life.
I guess they don't have hentai pr0n

Holy shit, she could have taken down the whole plane with that!!!! /sarcasm
