Am I the only one that sees using natural processes like plant enzymes or bacteria to convert a abundant resource we need to live into a fuel source that is flammable and toxic as dangerous.
I have received a restore disk as well as an install disk with every computer I have ever bought.
Oh thats right I buy Macs.
Seriously I add the cost of a full version of windows to any PC. Sooner or later you will have a problem best solved by reINSTALLING the software and a factory restore disk just wont cut it.
As a child of the personal computer revolution I too grew up with procedural programing sinclar basic, apple integer basic, Pascal and Fortran. although I've worked with Java, C+, Obj C Visualbasic and real basic I've allways felt a little uncomfortable because I never had any formal training in any of them. The Stanford CS classes on iTunes U have really helped me fill in the missing pieces. 80% was review for me but the last 20% helped make the first 80% make more sense. Don't be afraid to start right back at the beginning it will really help.
Plan Step one - Buy two fully equipped Drobo Pros. (12TB usable each one for redundancy) Step two - hirer a guy to stare at them all day. Step three - sell space to other Depts at $15 a month. Step four - retire in Jamaca with the $180,000 a month - $10,000 for the Drobos and $50,000/year for the watcher. (thats 2.1 Million dollars the first year)
does this make WordPress the new SCO or the new MicroSoft? Because, guess what all you idiots defending this prick, he's making the same BS claims that you attacked those others for. This is no different then MS claiming ownership of any file that Word can read. And no different then SCO claiming that because some code used all the same variables when accessing the same protocol (cause of course it has to). BY the same token everything written in Xcode belongs to Apple and everything written in.NET is property of MS.
100% BS and an outright attack on free software itself.
This is a crap article based on another article which has been shown to be based on a bad translation of an earlier report. FOXCON IS NOT MOVING OR CLOSING ANY PLANTS. They are Opening a new plant in Vietnam to handle some of their overload. Thats it.
Me thinks you should see an eye doctor then because your going blind. I've never been to a medical office that didn't have a few thousand files behind the desk.
Yeah go ahead and try that by walking into a store at 1am with the lights off and the closed sign up. While your bleeding in the back of the police car on your way to jail you can ponder the fact that just because a door is open does mean you can go inside when you know your not suposed to.
Or next time your at your doctors office walk around the counter and start going the the patient files. After all there is no lock and its open to the public.
Because they're the one that wanted to get music before everyone else and at a lower cost. Apple never tried to shut out Amazon they just didn't want Amazon getting preferential treatment.
So now its uncompetitive for Apple to complain about other companies trying to gain an unfair advantage. Amazon's program gave Amazon a monopoly since they would be the only ones selling the tracks early. I can only imagine what a sh*t storm Amazon would throw if Borders was able to sell select books a week before them or anyone else. Personally I feel all retail exclusivity agreements should be illegal. Including Cell phones and album/tracks. The only stuff that should be "available only at wal-mart" is bad taste and bad judgment.
FCC rules actually view substitute words as the same as if you said the real word. By the regs if you can figure out what they meant its obscene. So BSG can't legally say Frak on the air. Of course with the FCC nothing exists till someone files a complaint. You could air "one guy one cup" if no one complained. Of course they might notice when 50% of the population throws away their TV the next day.
Seriously, most SS officers...aren't exactly at the bottom of the law enforcement officer pool, if you know what I mean. More like pretty close to the top.
True. Unfortunately most other police experts consider reading explorer's history file as the height of computer forensics.
Sad to say but even at the state level in many places the so called experts are guys who went to a seminar.
I wonder how long it will be before the FTC or some attorney general forces the industry to label all games with online content with bold warnings of when support for online play will end.
Yeah. But I say if its good enough for the US military to use as a translator in Iraq its good enough for Billy to use it to communicate. I just hope Billy doesn't use it to calculate bullet drop on a sniper rifle.
reminds me of Roger Ebert's complaint that his insurance would pay $8000 for a bulky piece of crap machine with a keyboard to speak for him that sounded like a bad 60s Sci-fi robot but refused to pay $1000 for a macbook that could do the same thing much better.
Heck the doctor probably billed more while recommending it.
For all the people whinging about the cost if it replaces just one session of therapy its already saved money. I had knee surgery due to an injury at work and my Physical therapy sessions cost more than a Wii ($240/two hour sessions)
And for the rental theory. If rental was required the suppliers would charge more for rent of a Wii in a couple of months then the total cost of a new unit. That I can guarantee.
Actually they never ask for crutches back here. Sad to say but it would probably cost more to maintain and control an inventory of crutches than to just give new ones every time.

DVDs are the things I image onto a Flash drive so I can do system installs on any Intel Mac/G5 ever made with it.
Yes one disk, any mac. No bios settings just hold down the option key and pick the flash drive and your done. Oh an no serial numbers.
Um I hate to break this to you. But that Snow leopard upgrade disk, is a a full OS install disk. There is no need to install Leopard first.
Nice of you to only buy business model Dells but most consumer models come only with recovery disks and the others come with nothing.
Umm Yes they do.

Read that as "Damn thats to much per gigabyte."

So your saying Amazon is monopolistic!

and if we use to render the next Avatar movie the cycle is complete.
As I remember there is already a site that can power a sever with Tucows. What was its name again?
The're just pissed that SalesForce is using FireFox in all there screen shots.

stumped by a technological problem that can be solved by carrying a piece of tinfoil.
