And why exactly would Apple do this you moron!! A you delusional enough to think that Steve Jobs hates you personally and is out to get you. The only reason Apple would want to disable a program is if it was found to be harmful after the fact like a number of android programs that were found to be trojans stealing personal information. Thats like saying the police shouldn't have guns because they my shoot you. They have no reason to and if they did they would be in big trouble.

iPad cost $700 (some free some 2.99)
cardboard cost $12,000 $2000 for the games and $10000 for the addition to your house.

And what the hell makes you think a iPad wont last 30 years. you replace a few batteries by then but nothing else should ever wear out in your lifetime.

  12. poor design on Midwest Seeing Red Over 'Green' Traffic Lights · · Score: 1

this is a design problem not a green problem. Simply retrofitting LEDs into old designs was a mistake. LEDs don't have the same reflective properties as regular lights and dont need the covers that create most of the problem here. As said before in northern climates we should add a low power heating element, make the whole design smoother to reduce build up ( that would also reduce motion and strain induced by wind ), make them black (also increases contrast) and chemically coating them to prevent build up.

Note - power usage is not really an issue here. LED lights are not being installed for energy savings. Sure that comes with the package but the real savings is replacement cost. While a LED bulb may cost just as much as the 6 regular bulbs it will replace in its life, that is five fewer times you'll spend hundreds of dollars sending a crew and a lift truck out to replace the bulbs.

Apple would have to deal with the burden of support calls and lose of goodwill from hackintosh issues.

  18. Why is this a problem? on AT&T Moves Closer To Usage-Based Fees For Data · · Score: 4, Interesting

Data has shown that iPhone users average 400MB/month. This is far and away the most by any group. AT&T charges $30/month for the iPhone data plan. That equates to over $60/GB but AT&T and just about every other carrier charge that amount for 5GB/month data plans. Doesn't make sense does it. Carriers are claiming they can't make money at $60/GB data while they charge only $12/GB on data only plans.

I think we would all be giddy as school girls if they just charged everyone $12/GB for data making the average cost for data for iPhone user drop from $30 to $6. But for some reason I doubt that will happen.
