  8. There will always be something. on Will Next-Gen Consoles Kill Off PC Gaming? · · Score: 2, Interesting

    That a PC can do that a console can't. But what really, consoles just keep getting closer and closer to just being PCs. I mean with everything I have heard about the new Xbox it is just a dumbed down PC. It really does seem like a convergence of such and maybe this type of convergence will make it easier for developers to create for PC and console.

    Between this sort of thing and the whole impending National ID, a Heinlein quote comes to mind:

    " When a place gets crowded enough to require ID's, social collapse is not far away. It is time to go elsewhere."

  13. Comments ... NO! on Auto Code Commenting Software, Free Chairs · · Score: 2, Interesting

    Real programmers don't comment. If you did that someone might actually be able to figure out what you are doing. You need a code obfuscate function that takes simple functions and makes them complex and adds nonsensical comments, such as:

    Before:
    int i = 1;
    while (i 1000) { ... A[i] ...;
    i ++;
    }

    After: //Super Froopy node generator
    int i=11; //Charge the Interociter
    while (i 8003) { ... A[(i-3)/8] ...; //null node generator
    i += 8;
