Actually, if you buy a phone without thinking about it, you'll probably end up with whatever J2ME/BREW Crap the wireless cartel want's to sell you. Why the hell are J2ME apps $7.00 when iOS apps are like $.99? what the hell?
I actually agree with you that marijuana legislation sucks. It should be legalized. However...
Look at mexico. Pretty much blank-slate legalization of most drugs. Cartels running amok.
It's not the potheads i worry about, it's the Cocaine and Heroin addicts, their motivations, and their associations that i don't want to live in the same country with.
Big Government. More laws. These are the ONLY things that infringe upon our freedoms. Be it hate-crime legislation, sexual harassment, Gun control. All of these things limit our freedoms, and are a direct result of the government having too much power.
It's dangerous to equate "republican" and "conservative". The patriot act is not a "conservative" thing, it's a "republican" one (more of a knee-jerk reaction than anything).
One more thing... "the government will pay for it if you can't" means I will pay for it. And you. And every other taxpayer.
That's actually kind of offensive. The liberals in this country have done most of the freedom-damaging legislating in this country. Big government etc.
The conservative base is about all we have protecting our freedom at this point.
You're thinking of MySpace. Facebook gives the user much less freedom to change what their page looks like, resulting in pages that are much less offensive to the eyes.
Problem is, Hollywood seems to confuse the 'science fiction' genre with the 'action' and 'horror' genres. Science fiction books tend to be wordy, where wordiness doesn't usually translate well to screen. so, in place of drawn out SciFi explanations, they add boobies and explosions. This can make for an entertaining movie, but not really a SciFi movie.
The only true scifi movie i can even think of is 2001: and even that takes several viewings (and maybe even reading the novel) to 'get it'.
I've been thinking about this exact option. Which phone did you buy? would you recommend it?

It uses a variant the linux kernel, sure, but the userspace is completely different. So it's not GNU/Linux as the Debian folks would say.
For a lot of people, Linux means GNU/Linux, so in that case, no; Android is not linux.
But...what if you were being attacked by CLONES of zombies....or zombie clones....
Someone call hollywood, i smell a hit!!!
That is the most sensible interpretation of modern organized religion I've ever read. Thank you.

less government is 'better government'.
We live in a not-ideal world. granting the government more power will never lead to 'better government'.
Republican != Conservative.
There is a huge overlap, but there are liberal republicans (just like there are conservative democrats).
Medicalize...sounds like a bush word. They've already gotten to you!

Also, why is a cat the opposite of a dog?
Yes!
Not to mention the Dances with Wolves planet, some time before that!
I think you mean genetic algorithms. Genetic engineering is...something else.
They used to be...free wifi saw to that...
Sorry to reply to myself, but i'm still playing with this
does this evaluate to 'true'?
(1 / (10 ^ infinity)) * infinity == 1
1 / (10 ^ infinity) == 1 / infinity
10 ^ infinity == infinity
algebra fail.
he didn't mean 0.00...1 ^ n, he meant 0.00...1 * n, which does grow as n approaches infinity (although it doesn't approach a limit at 1).
So when a grave gets reused, is the new body buried on top of the old one? are the old bones moved? what is the process for this?
just curious...
i worry you'll sit through commercials AFTER paying for the book, just like cable.

This is the hot, dense state of a FIRST POST!

Yup. On youtube.
