If musics are all subscription based, there will be less incentives for the record company or individual band to create good music. There will be more random "test" listening. Good music under the pay and own model provides a clear picture which music sells and their popularity.
This is the same reason why I don't buy CD. I only want to pay for the song I want to hear.
I am a Chinese but I live in New York. The biggest problem is people read a few sensational reports and make it as if the entire Chinese population of 1.3 billions are living like slaves. We have sweat shops in U.S. too BTW.
My brother works in China as an engineer. The wages of the production workers are low compared to your minimum wage but I can assure you they are very well paid compared to their countryside folks. There are instances of exploitation but a big % of such employment have significantly improve the life of the Chinese.
The US has to keep improving its technology offering to be competitive with the rest of the world. Being a major economic superpower is not a given rights to you. It has to be earned and maintained.

Anybody knows what's the diff b/w these two update? My LiveUpdate is still missing the 18 viruses. Thanks.:)
This friend owns a company dealing with IT components. Think Sig**Tel chips etc. He is not guessing as he is in the Taiwanese IT business for so many years and can easily break down all the component cost chip by chip. BTW, he is a Taiwanese. I was told several months ago that Apple was already sourcing for parts for the flash mp3 products.
I have a friend from Taiwan. His company sources many components for Apple's iPod. According to him, the hardware profit of the iPod is close to nothing. Apparently Apple is making profit from somewhere. Apple is apparently not telling the complete story where their profits from iPods came from.
What a coincidence! I just finished watching "The Butterfly Effect" and and here's the post on Grandfather Paradox.
Me too. I have to disable Flashblock to view it.

I feel so cheated. My office Symantec Corporate Edition listed only 68585 viruses. Where are my other 31415 virus definition? :)
Come on, bring on the jokes about Nuke Dukem Forever. :)
Finally something that is not out-sourced. :)
If you do a simple Google for Excel calculation bugs, MS is just as guilty for ignoring some simple mathematical rules.
