What place does Window Media 9 play in the operating system to me its just not part of a OS so it should not be there. plus the DRM sucks as well. what you can do today, you may not tommrow.
They have no rights to do this and you hand over root access to your system for agreeing with the EULA agreement.
Bare Naked Ladys did this a few years ago.... they put there music on line and had inserted part way through the sone.if you like you can buy it....ect...it was funny.

now adays you can get get a HDTV Camera for under 2000 dollars plus a g5 mac ontop of that and do your own movies (independets)....Plus adats hi end mixers ect that arnt DRM controlled yet..that can give you almost a big lable recording sound all in your basement..Burn and then sell your music with out the middle men...if thing keep on going the way they are with other technolagies TCPA ect.....we need a lisense for everything and a big brother under every bed.....thats my thoughts on it....thanks for reading.

Just wanted to let you know sneaking in software is as good as giving me or you a virus. on a simple note just wanted to let you know im not happy with the whole copy protected DRM ect. the entertainment industry is doing as a whole. because of all the sneaky antics.
One year my van got broken into I lost over $1000 dollars in CD's I do believe in buying the music not downloading it. I buy disks I rip into mp3's so I can take the music in the car and listen to it on my computer saving the originals from theft or damage and when my copy get ruined over time I can make a new one.
But the new disks wont play in car decks computers ect(copy controlled DRM ect).
So I wont buy any protected disks that wont play or infect my computer or cost me money to get the disk out of my car deck.
Its to bad really that this is going on because in the end you lost out on 6 sales this week and someone some ware will crack it and like a virus the cracked files will wind up on P2P networks.
It would be better to lower prices and make more of a effort to repair the damage done by this type of activities( music industry and the consumer).
when the DRM and Copy protection is gone I will then think it will be safe to buy the music again.
there are a lot of people that are looking at you in anger and rightfully so due to the way you sneaked in DRM software on the new Beastie Boys album. there should have been a warning on the disk. I see none. best just to remove. the Malware spyware or virus that's on this disk and let people return the CD that is not a true CD (red book) and replace it with on that is....and no DRM ect on it.(then I will buy it)... I do have the original vinyl licensed to ill.
I do respect that the artists are to be paid I have over 1000 records and over 400 cds and I am happy to listen to them.
but please think about what your doing your Beastie boys album and others have caused some computers to crash and not run again and some car decks that need repair... This is not a good thing its like committing suicide.

Also i had some CD's stolen from my van (over 1000 dollars cdn )a while back cant find them to buy now. unless i go to the used music stores to find them....now im using cdrs and ripping to mp3's as well as recording my records to wav to mp3's to. so at the cost of a blank $1 i can put 7-9 cds worth and not have to worry...and yes there are records that were never turned into cd's and cd's that are now discontinuded now. so theres my 2 cents worth
P.S. THere is still some i have not replaced to this day because there not available any more.

so if your able to do one thing today you might not do tomorow (software wont run movies wont play music wont ect ect ect........and they get root access to your system to Boot ......SUCKS IF YOU DONT READ THE EULA......its been known for a while but they still have it on the system and probaly wont change there outlook I like the way they want to update and you have to find out on there web site what the update is all about ....THAT SUCKS BIG TIME....thats why im not a fan of M$ getting into the entertainment industry ...there just there for the money nothing else more mediocraty for the masses ;)

Intresting but at the same time the music has become disposable and filled with shit musicical artists that the indistry pumps out. Also i had some CD's stolen from my van (over 1000 dollars cdn )a while back cant find them to buy now. unless i go to the used music stores to find them....now im using cdrs and ripping to mp3's as well as recording my records to wav to mp3's to. so at the cost of a blank $1 i can put 7-9 cds worth and not have to worry...and yes there are records that were never turned into cd's and cd's that are now discontinuded now. so theres my 2 cents worth P.S. THere is still some i have not replaced to this day because there not available any more.
