Yeah I have been trying to understand this one, but I am having some difficulty. I also would like to see some deeper analysis into the details of the tech that was infringing.
The choice is basically between suppressing an entire people, or letting them suppress themselves. I'm for the latter, no blood on my hands. Thank You.
Meanwhile Iran is forbidden by the USA to even talk about doing similar. I'm tired of the hypocracy. Give every nation control over their own destinies. This administration's policies are just plain ridiculous. I'm not sure why exactly the rest of the world hasn't stepped in to claim that the current administration is as evil as the Nazi Party was during Hitler's reign. I say if Saddam Hussain had just threated to use a nuke we'd not be in this mess. I'm with the NRA on this one... If you arm everyone there would be less crime.

Libertarianism, with a Big "L", has more to do with freedoms of individuals. When Libertarians talk about free markets, rarely are they talking about multinational corporations, they don't belive in them. You are right about all the other stuff.
I like the grouping features of MS Access reports, and the grphical layout. I find OpenOffice Reports very lacking coming from MS Access (The only app that makes M$ worthy). While I realize this is a paradigm that may not be the best or most intuitive way, at least the M$ Access Report Writer is feature complete.
I even tried to code my own reports with Maco automation once, but abandoned this thinking it is inefficient and non-portable. There seems to be no reference for how to make reports, with very common features, like grouping, group headers/footers, subtotals, counts, or further aggregations.
I know that people used to use M$ Word to make complex reports, but I cannot even find docs about how to use OOo Writer to do this. I really miss the style of Paper Docs that came with old storebought packages. They really were excellent.
Jasper Reports and iReport, look very promising for those MS Access Report People. Though not a full db base solution, it seems to provide the missing pieces.
I just finally got squirrelmail to work with my home directory maildir delivery. Anyone know if OpenExchange will allow user data tobe stored in the user's home directory (icalendar files, maildirs, etc.. within ~harlq516/planner) -SR
"The Fox and the Hound" was a really great film. It was probably the first movie that seriously affected me on an adult emotional level. It was a very serious film with real parallels to reality.
There is also something about the undorned featureless textureless drawing in the old style of animation that made the meaning of the plot deeper for me. It allowed me to see the plot on a plane of abstraction, away from reality. The plot seems all the sharper because the intended features of the animation as it relates to the storyline shows that much more contrast. (How many expressions does Snoopy have with just a curved line and a filled oval?)
I feel almost distracted by the technology. I sometimes feel that the story is getting lost when the animation is more CG and less analog looking.
As a side note, I have to get this off my chest. I really hated Disney's Alladin. While I like Robin Williams, he should not have been cast as the Genie. His part and the artistic license used in that movie really bastardized the original story. It was an injustice done to the generations who would see the Disney story instead of the classic. -SR

I don't like the fixed width thing, and I thought the old site looked pretty good, and waaas very functional.. I don't see the need for a change..
