Wow! Just wow! I mean, how much CRAP can you read on slashdot, daily!

The dumbass editor that accepted this submission should be banned. Oh and parent's poster too.

Hmmm, I have always wondered, why is it so hard to avoir the debris from the tank? Why not just flip the orbiter over and connect the tank to the top of the orbiter? The debris would then fall where heat is no concern during re-entry... I guess aerodynamics during liftoff are not that big of a deal given the huge power the solid boosters provide...

It just seems to me they are looking at the problem from the... wrong side (no pun intended).

Oh no! Not a new Kernel? Now I need to recompile it on all my servers! Oh wait, I figure I don't need because I use BSD only. When is Linux (and BSD too) going to start working on simplifying it's upgrade process? What about rules in it's development preventing anyone from making changes that would hinder backward and forward compatibility? When was the last time you had to update your Windows Kernel? Did it break something major? I had too much problems with new Kernels having issues with drivers and configuration. All that development process is disproving itself after each release.

Whoa, the comments on this story are just amazingly stupid! I tought people grew up in the last few years but it seems everybody is now under some sort of global surveillance and will accept anything to get a few more points at job and here at slashdot. Holy crap people! What's the point in having someone dress the way you want if his or her job doesn't have anything to do with it? Hell, I understand someone dressing up for a meeting or someone dressing up for installing cables in a sewer. What's with the tatoos? Someone who obviously doesn't care about "having a professional look" will obviously don't care about participating in "professional" work where other people will care about it. Damn, I worked with people so ugly they almost made me vomit everytime I talked to them, but their work was flawless and I wouldn't have exchanged them for anyone else in the world! Oh and I also worked with people so nicely dressed but so useless I just can't believe they still have a job today! To all the people that say "grow up", I respond fuck you. Damn people, _You_ make me sick!

I still think "Who needs another search engine". What we need is not another Google. We already have a masterpiece-of-crap in it. Do you know why I use Google? Because Yahoo went the portal way. Why I used Yahoo? Because Altavista went the portal way. Now, if Google doesn't start adding content and crap on their homepage, I won't ditch them anytime soon. What _would_ make me switch apart from this would be a NEW way of searching, or something MUCH more usefull. If MSN search offers me the same thing as Google, and oh, the MS logo, well... The hell with this!

Technology is different now. SpaceShipOne does what some of NASA's experiments costed many times more. You shouldn't do a direct comparison like that. But you are right in that they didn't innovate very much. However I can't see Microsoft innovate very much either. What did they create in the past years? Xbox? Well it's a gaming-PC copy. Xbox Live? Well it's a Battle.Net (and the likes) copy. PocketPC? Palm copy. Oh Wait! How about the _oh-so-successfull_ TabletPC? Gimme a break, MS didn't invent shit either. Between the two, I still prefer Google's way of assventing.

I am sick of this... Who needs a new search engine? Nobody! The web is so crammed with porn and crap that NO search engine can be "revolutionary". You only get more paid-for ads, or more intelligent ads-rotation... I will NOT use MSN's search, just because I am TIRED of searches... Google won that "war" long ago. Their interface is simple, their name is simple. Now, I got used to it, and if you offer me the same thing, with a different name, I just won't switch. MS, what about REAL innovation instead of copying everybody else -LATE-.
