well.. see you came from an islamic country so they couldn't touch you cause they'd get sued for profiling... They aren't allowed to screen people coming from/going to islamic countries... Because that's retardedly easy to get around. Give someone like Johnny Walker Lindh a shave, send him home, FedEx some fertilizer to his house in Marin county, book a domestic flight, boom. The fallout would ensure a nice discussion on why we were *only* going after guys named Muhammed from Iran.
Was this year different because there were movies worth watching? There were a few decent movies that got me into the theater this year but I have a pretty short memory and can't recall whether it has been different in any of the previous years.
That has been one of my issues with the *AAs... they just look at profits and piracy and try to make sense of the trends. Why doesn't the quality of their product get factored in as well?
You must be listening to different news outlets than I. I heard Clinton was expected to win Ohio and it was going to be close in Texas but she was expected to eke out a win there too. The question was if she could win by a large enough margin to make an impact in the delegate count. It doesn't appear that she has. In fact, she was leading by 25 points a few weeks ago in Ohio so it appears she's lost ground...
Hmmm, repetitive coarse sounds... it might even be reminiscent of standing in the middle of a factory hearing that machinery bang away... it sounds almost... industrial...
How many people do you know don't have their driver's license?
How many people do you know do?
My point is that it's extremely rare for someone to be without a driver's license. Everyone has one. As Carlin says: think of how stupid the average person and realize half of everybody else is stupider. Cue discussion on the definition of "average", cuz this is/.
Seriously, there has to be some merit based system to handing out exit and bulkhead seating. I'm 6'6" as well and nothing pisses me off more than having to cram into one of Southwest's (or any other carrier, really) tiny seats just praying the guy in front of you won't recline his seat ever (who needs kneecaps?) while some smug middle-aged lady is happily enjoying her exit row seat.
My wife has learned that we will try to make it to the airport with enough time to get to the gate and request an exit row before anyone else. But when you have a connection or what-not... if you're too late, the middle-aged lady has already claimed it.
Each airline should take requests for exit and bulkhead rows, make a note of extraordinary personal needs, wait until the plane has been boarded, then assign exit row seating as fairly as possible. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about obese people. I can't do anything to be less tall...
The only problem with your sig is that it comes after your post and as such, it didn't warn me of your character before I read it. Otherwise it serves as a great identifier for me to filter your posts out. Arrogance is rarely attractive.
I hope this guy's parents don't read slashdot otherwise he's going to get a well deserved smack upside the head for trying to lock them out of his sister's computer.
Everything I've heard so far on the topic of air powered cars leads me to think that compressed air is a pretty bad way to transfer energy. What do we burn to create the energy to compress the air?
I got a Dell m1330 too, but opted out of the SSD and went SATA instead... Got it for around $1300 refurbished.
I haven't had any issues with it so far and I love it. Small, thin, LED backlit screen... it has a remote control built into it too. DVD drive, of course. All the bells and whistles, really.
I find it odd that it doesn't get compared along side these other super-compact models.
Of course, it's really pretty simple. If there's a demand for games, more games will be made. If there isn't, there won't. We can go around and around on whether X is as popular as Y or is it as popular as B? Who cares?
Right now, the gaming industry is moving a lot of units. There are also a lot of really good games out there now, too. Is this because it's a lucrative market or is the market lucrative because of the good games? Again, an argument that really doesn't matter to anyone that's not trying to get ad clicks.
In summary, if you like to play games, play them. If you don't, no one's forcing you to. No big deal. Life's short. Get some fresh air now and then too...
I'm not sure I understand the sentiments of people regarding this format war. I thought that as consumers we were supposed to celebrate our ability to choose between products. And yet with this HD format war, all I hear is people relieved that we have our ability to choose taken away from us.
"Whew! Thank the gods we eliminated any choice in the matter! Now I can rest easier."
Just like how those economies of scale kicked in and made all those high-def LCD screens so cheap? Sorry to rant on a tangent but I'm still waiting for LCD prices to drop like they're supposed to before I think about high-def disc formats.
Smash Lab seems very contrived. The dialog is forced and unnatural. No one seems to have a personality. And then there's the token hot chick... what does she bring to show besides a sexy ass?
I confess I've only seen 15 minutes or so of one episode. It couldn't keep me engaged so I turned the channel and never looked back.
It's too bad this Linus guy's direction becomes set in stone and we're stuck with a very rigid product that can't be modified to suit our individual needs.
Then around 1900, a few experimenters started to get the hang of wings, and figured out that what worked was to separate the lift generation from the propulsion. Nature never came up with this scheme, but it's technically easier (if you know how to make a rotary motor or a jet engine) than nature's scheme of using wings for both functions. You don't even have to be an avid bird watcher to see how incredibly sophisticated a bird's flight is. The ability of the hummingbird to hover, a duck landing on a pond, geese flying in formation, nighthawks chasing bugs, energy efficiency on migration... the "technology" these birds are equipped with is leaps and bounds beyond what we're capable of. The only thing we can really do is fly fast.

How about we write a fake blog about a fake industry that gets fake repercussions for meddling where it shouldn't?

A++! Would install again!
I was hoping there was a way to turn off that new feature. I too found it annoying. Everything else about FF3 is rocking, though.

Why on earth should a 7 year old be able maintain privacy on a computer that can serve as a portal to many nasty things?

That is one of the best comments I've ever read on slashdot. Brings a tear to my eye.
Cheers!
Hopefully the Catholics won't find out I've been reselling my indulgences too!
We would never "win" a war against the Chinese. The steps you mention would only ensure we both lose.

I use a search engine to search the internet.
There is pr0n on the internet.
I think it's pretty simple...

I'm baffled.

How does one join the British Pornographic Industry? Because that sounds like a pretty awesome industry to be a part of.
