i could deal with the fact that he was benchmarking with broken code, as long as he labeled the benchmarks as such, but when brian hook said in his.plan to take the benchmarks with a grain of salt, because the code was broken, and tom's rebuttal was "no, brian hook, you are wrong, my benchmarks are valid" i lost pretty much any respect i had for the guy.

george lucas has stated that he was not planning on finishing the final third of the entire saga. although, he also stated he would only be directing episodes 1, but has since decided otherwise. so the official word is "no" but its still a possibility that they may be made.
Duel of fates is is EXCELLENT. in fact, i'm listening to it right now, on repeat. I purposely avoided letting myself hear any of the music before i saw the film, and frankly, i think the impact of the music would have been lessened a great deal had i heard it out of context. (not to mention the horrid amount of spoilers just in the track names alone on that cd, sheesh)

argh. you make me sick with your anger. how can you become so enraged at these people? they certainly aren't hurting anything, and they certainly aren't hurting you personally. i can't comprehend the source of your intensity on this issue. you claim these people have been brainwashed. they must have brainwashed themselves, because there hasn't exactly been a glut of pre-release hype for this film. these people are big fans of star wars, what exactly is your problem with that? and then you go on to say that this "hype engine" producing the phantom menace could be used to endorse racism or genocide? poppycock, i say, that is pure conjecture, and such a leap of logic that i can't even comprehend how you came to such a conclusion. again, lucasfilm has not been overhyping this film. a few trailers, a few posters is all i've seen from them. the fans are zealous, because they care about this movie. who are you to point at them and say "don't care about that!"? i think you need to take a look at why these little things get you so incensed, and maybe try some breathing excersizes to calm down, or something to that effect.
this is great. as soon as my finals are over, i'm totally in line for a week wearing a wookee costume. i don't understand people whining about this. the line is part of the EXPERIENCE! i wasn't even born in time to do this for episode 4, and i'm glad its not going to be whoever has the most money to afford scalped tickets that gets in first. its the way movie tickets should be sold, i say.
at least, the one i've seen (rage, i believe) is obviously fake. you'll notice his keyboard isn't actually plugged in, among other things. ignoring the fact that there seems to be a high quality color camera pointing directly at one persons cubicle.
the text parser certainly did rock. i remember when they remade hero quest (quest for glory 1) in vga, with that lame mouse interface. it was nowhere near as cool as the original.
mr. T isn't dead! i'm sure i would know if that happened. i know he is in poor health, because of cancer, but sites like this only serve to honor and upload a great man like mr. T. i don't see how this is disrespectful in any way.
