Problem: Comcast's DNS servers suck.
Likely cause: They don't update often enough
Other possible cause: They choose to "block" specific sites.
Solution: Unless you can convince them to update their servers like everyone else, use a different name server.
You're mostly right. Bill Cosby often speaks on this subject, advocating self-accountability and hard work. But, more and more, he seems to be shunned and dismissed in favor of others like Jesse Jackson who insist on blaming everyone else for the black community's woes.
I grow tired of people outside of IT mislabeling things, I certainly don't need more of it within our own (educated?) groups.
Fatass, donut-glazed cheetos finger douchebag IT guy statement of the day.
Just because you pay money for it and install it, this does not mean it's not a "Man in the middle." It may be company sanctioned, but it's a MITM nonetheless.
Maybe they do suck, but "broken"? Impossible to get working? Tell that to the teams at VLC and XBMC, who have been providing accelerated video on Linux for years.
Other commenters are right: This is not about stability. It's more likely about DRM.
Exactly. It's like burying the spare key in your garden, as opposed to putting it under the door mat. It's security through obscurity, but it IS effective.
Don't insult our intelligence. Even so-called "casual" users have been happy with the desktop for decades now. You can't admit that Metro was designed for "your computer illiterate little sister", and then present an upside to the interface. It sucks... end of story.
I think Princess Leia said it best: "The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers." A pretty good analogy.
Yeah, it is.... Ok, so... wait. Who is the fingers?
'Republicans are almost entirely united in opposition to the Internet rules, meaning the bill is unlikely to ever receive a vote in the GOP-controlled House.'
Good! This means the Internet will continue to operate the same way we've enjoyed using it since its birth.
Yeah, $634 million and counting (as of... way back in 2013-10) ceartainly isn't enough to develop a website. What price would you have us pay, ridiculous, partisan one?
I came here to comment the same thing. "An immigrant would be required to 'live and work' in Detroit for an undetermined length of time." I don't see how else that sentence could be interpreted -- is that not the very definition of slavery? Sure, one could argue that the wage these workers would make could classify their situation as simple employment, but even slaves receive bread and water.
but have no hesitation to stick their noses into a woman's health care decisions.
Or, maybe we just think we shouldn't be obligated to pay (via tax dollars) for a woman to murder her unborn child. Rights have nothing to do with it. For some of us, it's a money thing. For others, it's a morals thing. For some, it's both.
History shows us what happened when free enterprise took care of (or, all to often, did not) everything, and it wasn't pretty.

*cough* Yeah, I can see your point.
AOL did this long ago, except instead of gigabytes, it was minutes. Cell providers also do this currently, offering different pricing tiers based on usage.
So, enough with the disinformation campaigns already. Net neutrality should either succeed or fail based on its own merits -- everything that an ISP does that may be objectionable is not necessarily attributed to the absence of net neutrality.
Uh.... what? Elaborate, please.

Eh? I have Comcast and use my own cable modem and router. Whatchu talking 'bout, Willis?

What does forming idols for worship have to do with this?

Wait, I thought Kim dot Com (dotcom?) was the Fat Man composer.
Yeah, because then your steel belted...
umm... the radial... side.. wall...
ah, dammit.

You win 'Best Post' in this discussion. Congratulations.
I thought he was just being pretentious. Like spelling fetus with an 'o', or saying "maths" when you're an American.
Welcome back, old friend. There's a place set at the table for you; have a seat.

And, by 'H', you mean Hate, right?

By the way, it's pretty rich of you, as an "unashamed progressive" to be telling libertarians what it means to be a libertarian.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the classical straw man argument.
This has nothing to do with net neutrality.
