The subpoenas should not be necessary. If you are the next of kin and heir to the deceased estate, the accounts are now yours.
Sadly, that's not true. I had a good friend commit suicide about seven years ago. His parents requested access to his hotmail account to try and get some closure for their unanswered questions, but the request was refused. Their lawyer confirmed that they had no legal recourse to gain access.
Not to sound pedantic, but the reason that defendants may not be compelled to testify is entirely because of the Fifth Amendment. You don't have to "plead it", it's implicit in the proceedings.
Somewhat true. You must either convict him now, or never. However, "I'm not sure" is a valid option; it is written out "not guilty".
Actually, untrue. If a jury is unable to reach a unanimous decision, the result is a hung jury which usually causes a mistrial. A prosecutor is legally allowed to take this case back to trial. Double Jeopardy only applies to cases where a "not guilty" verdict is reached unanimously.
From what I've heard, jury selection typically biases against people with scientific or statistical training (or anyone who knows about jury nullification)... but that's all from secondhand sources, so take it with a grain of salt; the only time I was called for jury duty myself, it was in the wrong county and I couldn't serve even if I wanted to.
It's true. The last time I was called up, I think I saw the Prosecutor throw up in his mouth a little when I mentioned "Jury nullification". I was excused five minutes later.
More than likely, the physics will be offloaded to the CPU for users w/out a physics card. Most of the 1st gen 3D games would have an option where you could run the game with software rendering.
Using radio as an example, it works just fine for what we need it for and we really haven't found a suitable replacement [light based communication for example]
Last time I checked, Radio waves were light-based.:P
Hardly. It's a strategy that's gone on for millenia. If a local populace is occupied by a militarily superior force, the last thing the locals want to do is meet them in a head-on fight. They use guerrilla tactics and attack "soft" targets. The objective isn't to destroy the occupiers forces, but to make the prolonged occupation more costly than it is worth. It's Sun Tzu 101.
And not only doesn't he get the immunity, He is the one left holding the bag. For weeks, we've been bombarded with propaganda telling us that we need those cowardly democrats in the House to pass a new FISA bill, or the Ter'rists are gonna kill us all in our sleep!!!!. A Bush veto will now mean that he sides with the Ter'rists.:)
You mean the ones that voted against a bill that had no meaning outside US citizens because the military has its own law and its own court system and this was a federal bill affecting stateside affairs?
No, he's talking about the bill that would define what interrogation techniques civilians in the government (read:CIA) are and are not allowed to use. And yes, it would apply to civilians overseas as well. This bill was to apply the same code of conduct for civilian interrogations that already exists in the UCMJ.
Sorry, but being wrong is not an impeachable offense, much less treason.
Sorry, right back at you. A President may be impeached for any "High crime or Misdemeanor". An 18th century synonym of "Misdemeanor" is "an act of incompetence". If being wrong about something winds up costing half a trillion dollars and 4000 American lives isn't incompetence, I don't know what is.

Wow! I bow down to your l33t research and citation skillz.
Yes, but only with a Lawyer present!

If a person were legally incompetent, a good defense attorney could have his case suspended indefinitely.
No. They will advise - sometimes in *very* strong terms. But in the end, it's their client's call.
Zug-Zug!

The insurance companies, apparently.

Yeah, it's not as though the 2nd Amendment has an entire lobby dedicated to fighting for it, or anything.
