I just don't understand why anyone would work for free.
Well, I'll bet that if *most* of the true OSS developers considered it work instead of generously donating the fruit of their passion (software devel/improvement) back to the community, then it would hardly be free, would it?
I'm certain most OSS developers have already paid their bills, fed the kids, then put in their own time into this *free work*.
So I am a "complete idiot" for giving my software away for free I guess. Hmmm...I guess I am a complete idiot for collecting $120/hr for implementing it and supporting it too?
ahh... people would pronounce it as 'Pentium i-vee', which would make me grit my teeth just as much when I hear people tell me that they have Windows 97 or Office 92 as an OS.
I read an article somewhere about faxing carbon paper (all black) continuously by taping 2 sheets of it together in a loop so it would go on and on and waste all their ink.
Ohhh, I wish I had mod points... I almost pissed myself laughing at the thought of this. + Funny:o)

Mindshare is everything.
I know when I let someone 'rent space' in my head, it effectively distracts me and reduces my ability to focus solely and completely on what I should be doing. Perhaps this will have the same effect on a corporate entity as it does me personally.
...they are determined to distort and corrupt the true image of Linux as a whole. At first their games were fun (Lindows vs. Windows), but this doesn't seem right.
Hopefully the name change will keep the general public from associating Linux with this nonsense.
Why not spend less time figuring out the limitations and more time working to break those limitations?
I feel the same way, however, in contrast, perhaps we need to know the limitations so instead of learning how to break them, we can find ways around them. If we rested on limitations set already, we'd be having great fun working inside the 640K box.
Perhaps *someone* is backing this lawsuit to shake up google's supposed imminent IPO, to make investors weary. I can think of a couple of other search brands that would love to cause problems for google.
Just my opinion.
but what is 3 miles between slashdot posters?
There is 3 miles in between reading TFA and not reading TFA, that's all.
...yeah, great!
Now everyone will be able to know that I'm typing slashdot.org in my browser at work!!
Sheesh, if this is true, I may actually have to do something!!

I would suspect that they are charging $30 for the value aspect, and not primarily for the actual bandwidth usage.
Just my opinion.
'Pentium IV' ? Ah, that sounds SO 2005 ...

I'm sorry, but the one-button-mouse Mac has been doing this for over a decade

So has my girlfriend. Press her buttons once for activation, and press and hold to increase level of anger
