I feel the same as the OP; I am also an OSS convert, but I don't disparage others' choices of apps. However, healthy advocacy for OSS projects is absolutely necessary, considering the strong-arm tactics Microsoft uses to get people to use its products -- FUD.
Boy, you're really confused, huh? Why should ANY other browser mire themselves down in the muck that Microsoft created called Active X ? Please, no!! It _is_ better that they don't support it -- Active X; are you serious?
P2P is legal. Period. The software is legal, using it is legal. Here, in the good ol' US of A, there is much FUD that would make some folks believe that "P2P is illegal", but it isn't. Not in France, not here.
Umm... why such a smart ass? You couldn't just say, "Take a look at these OSS projects" ? Oh, that's right; I'm reading Slashdot... nevermind, I should expect this type of bullshit;)
Spam levels like that are simply unacceptable. Are you [people] not using any filtering at the server? Spam does not have to be this big a problem. Ever heard of rbls?
Wow, you managed to misspell Cadillac twice in a three-line post! Nice work!
That's what /. is -- a public forum for discussion. Opinions are like assholes; yours, too.
Obviously he hasn't; and is full of shit.
Spamcop... that's funny!
Just say No!

A great browser tutorial for you to read
Oh, BTW, what a lame answer to the OP's question.
BSD never even hiccuped at it ;)
Windows Server ?
That we could count on Good Ol' France !
PC-bigot security dude...
Thanks alot. C'mon...
Dude, you're on Slashdot! This is [almost strictly] an opinion forum. Very seldom are there informative posts. Yes, mod parent up!

I believe this is a reference to 9-1-1, as in the emergency telephone number, not 9/11, as in the date. Separate issues.

Slashdotted so quickly... Nice work ;)

That's hard to believe; they're all such shitty applications, you'd think people would've migrated to the better P2P clients by now...

No, libraries are a public service. They are certainly not free, as in speech. What would make you spout such a thing?
I just don't understand this controversy...
Crawl out from under your rock, sir. It's 2005!

Yeah, except you mean "get" a leash on the police. We ain't had that for a looooonng time.
Man, those Coyotos folks desparately need someone at least a little web savvy to handle their project site. What a disaster!
