My password on one of my company's UNIX servers expired recently, so I was forced to change it. The rules weren't advertised, so the only way to find out what kind of new password is allowed is to keep trying different passwords. When your new password doesn't qualify, it only tells you a single one of the rules that was broken.
So I had to discover the following rules the hard way:
1. Cannot "share the first 512 characters of the previous password". 2. Has to have at least 8 characters 3. Has to have at least 2 upper case letters 4. Has to have at least 2 lower case letters 5. Has to have at least 2 numbers 6. Has to have at least 2 special characters
So my password? abAB12!@
Oh, and then I used sudo to change it to something I liked.
"Cleric of Atheism"? I gotta ask, isn't the whole point of a cleric, at least in D&D, that their god grants prayers? Is there a God of Atheism, or would this just be a guy who is good with a healer's kit? Anyone with innate powers, or channeling natural magic, would be a mage or a druid of some kind.
Or are the cleric's powers that of an Unbeliever who dispels magic through force of will?
I wonder how much of that $1billion has been from the PC side....
On the other hand, throughout Steam's humongous holiday sale, the undiscounted MW2 had remained high in the Top Sellers list. I guess even the PC gamers have spoken.
2) Usermade content gives a free alternative to expansion packs and DLC, which may decrease sales.
However, if the expansion packs and DLC provide enough new content, many new mods will build on top of them, providing more sales from people who want to play the mods. See Neverwinter Nights.
I should really just switch to a Linux distro and start compiling my own kernels
Don't forget to compile your own compiler...... Oh wait.... Better write it in binary on a computer you've assembled yourself from parts you've created yourself.
I remember, a few years back, showing that men have a greater affinity for science/math, and women more for culture/literature and this extends beyond the nurture part of nature vs nurture.
Actually plenty of studies have debunked that. All it took was a note on a math test that "this test has been gender-balanced" and women did as well a men on it.
And why stop there? Lenovo has also asked itself how often users press the F Function keys. On the new laptops, the F Function buttons are reduced to secondary controls, in place of laptop controls like screen brightness. Now, you'll need to hold the Fn button to use keys like F11 (while screen brightness can be pressed without holding Fn).
Now that is a dumb decision. I use function keys all the time, and having to hold some other key for them to work would definitely be a dealbreaker. My Microsoft keyboard has an "F Lock" key which is like the Fn key but toggleable (think Caps Lock instead of Shift). That's a much better design.
Mind you, I'm simply assuming a chronological setting for this based on the class list and my limited knowledge of Star Wars canon. It does sound like the game will be set further in the future (a not so very "long long time ago"?) than the KotOR games.
From what I know, this is to be set only a few hundred years after KOTOR, thousands of years before the movies.
I actually hope the next gen of consoles implement a system level game save, sort of like hibernate on Windows, where it just dumps the state of the machine to the hard drive, and it can power up back to that state.
Last gen consoles already have that - its called "Emulators".
For me, some foods are enjoyable, most are a chore.
I'd like to be able to eat some candy bars or ice cream or an occasional steak or whatever for pleasure, maybe pop a vitamin supplement, and not worry about having to eat to survive.
Interestingly, in China Gmail is already only accessable through proxies. Dropping google.cn will neither prevent nor discourage these types of attacks, so Google really must be doing this based on principles (or just wanting to look good).
Well, outside of their ships, the Borg are push-overs until they adapt to the shifting frequency of your phasers. A projectile weapon would take them down easily as long as you aim for the fleshy bits. They're basically slow-moving zombies.
Reading comprehension check, he said your sister's pants. I hope she's hot.
Given the above policy, a smart hacker would bruteforce the following template:
(1 capital letter)(7 lower case letters)(1 number)(1 special character). With a dictionary attack for the first 8 characters.
Password1!

Don't you mean "dice"?

In other news, the increase of XBox 360 Controller Support in PC games has the downside of increased DRM use.
Yeah, just like having only one passenger is using 1/4 the power of your SUV.

Volume keys on the keyboard are actually very useful. Play, Stop, RWD, FFWD are less so.
Never confess the urge to stab the random stranger to said random stranger.

I don't think anyone complains if you make fun of the Scientologists either. Well, except the Scientologists.

You're thinking of the original series. Starting with TNG, getting a red shirt is a promotion.
I'm pretty sure an 8600, while having more features, is slower than the 7950. Just like an 8800GTX will leave a GT220 in the dust.

Am I the only one that liked Spiderman 3?
Just imagine some TSA creeps snickering at an image of your girlfriend's, your father's or your mother's naked body.
Or your son's, your daughter's....
Only if you assassinate the entire Disney estate as well.
