"90% of tracks on any vinyl album were filler and B-sides that no-one ever wanted to listen to"
Dude are you serious? If you are listening to an album and 90% of the tracks suck what the hell albums are you listening to? Do you even own vinyl albums or cds? Go back to Massachusetts.
Do people actually care about mini-discs? Hell no. Although the mini-disc player preceded the mp3 player it is still lossy and is a useless unsupported media format. The compact disc has been around since 1982 and because most folks don't care about audio quality these days the CD will be the defacto media format for years to come.
I think there will always be demand for the highest fidelity recordings we have availible ie. cds. Just go down to your local used cd store and you will find plenty of people who still care about what they are listening to.
It recalled millions of CDs recorded by 52 artists, including Van Zant, Celine Dion, and Neil Diamond.
CDs by these artists should have been recalled anyway, rootkit or not.
Sorry buddy, all the music on bt.etree.org is completely legal to be traded as authorized by the band's taping policies. Dunce.

Many of the bands featured on EZT allowed non-commercial trading of live shows yet some don't however allow trading of their shows even if you can't buy the live material in a store otherwise. No one is profiting from these bittorrent sites so its a bummer that the artists and their lawyers get so upset.
I guess EZT is going to leave us much like the awesome sight sharingthegroove.org did a while back. Atleast bt.etree.org is still up!
I assume they are mp3s?

I am figuring that all these songs he has collected are in mp3, so he does not have a complete copy of a single song let alone is he able to listen to all this music. By downloading an mp3 version of the album "Aja" he is doing his ears a disservice.

If downloads get to expensive perhaps these people should just buy the cd from a local retailer or abroad?
I agree that the portability factor of the mini-disc is great and something the cd player can't do.

I have an orinoco 802.11b pcmcia card that works out of the box in debian. It has given new life to my aging dell inspiron laptop.

Just start listening to Dylan more. You can spend an eternity pondering what the hell he is talking about.

I received a card that said "A donation has been made in your name to the human fund." hehe
