As I understand it, yes, that's perfectly normal in wetware auctions, too. You don't want that priceless Van Gogh to go for whatever the clueless yokels who showed up at Sotheby's that particular day were willing to bid on it.

And when was the last time that eBay was good for _deals_? Idiots bidding over street price has been common for _years_.

From what I've seen the game inclusive bundles (versus the Value Pack bundle) are pretty much an internet-only phenomenon. There are a lot of places out in the Big Blue Room that'll sell it to you naked.

And on the value pack, the memory stick duo+cleaning cloth are _completely_ worth the $50 markup. The internet seems to have completely sold out of usefully-sized MSDuo media, and the cleaning cloth, maaaan. Once you have one and realize how incredibly sexy it looks, you'll be wiping fingerprints off of it mid-game. It's _weird_ like that.

  3. Any idea if it fixes the HDD problem? on PS2 Action Replay Adds MP3, DivX, Genesis Emulation · · Score: 5, Interesting

When Sony released the HDD, one of the updates is a service patch that makes unofficial discs like everything that Datel uses take about six times longer to launch.

Legitimate games take 20 seconds. The AR MAX takes 120. Take out the drive, and the AR MAX takes around 20 again.

But if you ask Datel about this, they say "oh no, there's no problem, it works fine, you're obviously imagining things."

I wonder if this update does anything for that. Lord knows you can't conveniently remove the HDD every time you don't want to use it, and a 2 minute boot is obscene, especially since the codes are kinda still crashy. Bleah. Hopefully there's an update program. :)

For whatever reason, Nintendo decided not to implement the standard wired communications protocol through the wireless adaptor, so only games that are _designed_ for wireless will work. Brilliant, I know. I mean, the wired link is a nasty little interrupt based hodgepodge and not very friendly at all, but *supposedly* the same bright guys that brought you the Afterburner frontlight kit for the original GBA figured out how to make a functional wireless adaptor that actually works with existing linkable games. It just doesn't seem like it'll see the light of day.

So yeah, the new Pokemon games and a couple of the famicon mini games support the new wireless adaptor, but other than that, bupkis.

I _think_ it's because in the morning, after your morning shower, you're already fresh and clean and by wiping off the sweat as soon as you can it doesn't have a chance to get stinky.

The biggest downside is having a tub labelled Huggies in your desk. They've started making non-baby themed wipes, but last I saw they were also more expensive.

The other big hitch is clothing if you work somewhere that's concerned about that sort of thing. There are various ways around this, too, if you're willing.
