It's true, I think enviroments and characters do look a bit to "perfect". They should learn from Silent Hill, Manhunt and other games like that. They all look dirty and grity using various filters that make up a kind of "dated" look. Which I find extremly nice. The dirtyer the better. ;)

That wouldn't actually work. And even if it did it would look either silly or ugly. Miyamoto-san should just do like he always does, come up with a new Zelda game with an intricet and elaborate story that makes the player feel for the characters. I don't really care about the graphics, hell my favorite Zelda game is A Link to the Past. People can nag, and feel angry about what he choses to do in the next game as much as they want. But in the end everyone will love the game, and play it to death, and the ones that don't, well, to bad for them.

Another thing I found amusing; "As it is a computer with decent RAM and a good CPU, it makes sense to port Linux to this platform." So it would make sense to port Linux to a Casio clock cause it to is a "computer"?

Sorry, I just find this whole thing silly.

Postal 2 is fun? I just don't see it. GTA is fun cause it's more of a satire on the world, while Postal is just 'wrong'. Same goes for 'Manhunt'.

I'm all for freedom of speech in games, but does that mean that they - games companies - should people able to do what they want in their games?

Shit I'm going to get flamed for this. :P

The only reason for the limit on net-games for the Game Cube is that Nintendo dosn't want to support net-play since they don't find the technology good enough yet.

  18. Re:Why can't console makers on Technology Of Current, Future Consoles Analyzed · · Score: 1

I would say that you, and the two other guys who think this might have a problem convincing the game developers of this. If you want to play games like Metroid Prime, Zelda, Ratchet & Clank etc. etc. You would have to buy a console. Besides, consoles in my book are becoming more and more like a PC. The PS2 has a broadband adapter and a harddrive, the gamecube has a broadban adapter for net play. And don't even get me started on the Xbox. Maybe this is what they want, move games more and more away from everyday PCs - which in the long run would make it less expensive for us mortals that don't have the cash to fork over 400$ for a new graphics card everytime someone decides that it's time to up the graphics on the PC *cough*Doom 3*cough* Just my humble opinion.
