I believe the law was broken by Dunn herself when SHE condoned the way the leaker was found out. In case she did not know of pretexting, she cannot prove that George was the leak. If she did, she condones using morally & ethically, if not legally, incorrect way of gathering information.

I do not see how the other directors are breaking the law to get her out. In facct, the same board announced that she will not resign.

Well...I sympathize with you. But, people losing jobs in USA are in the same boat as people who already lost their jobs in most of the 3rd world countries when Pepsi, Coke, Nike, Reebok, Levi's et al moved into their markets, effectively killing the local industries.

No individual is to blame for this. Blame the market! All of us have to get on with our lives, unless anyone wants communist rule for job-security!

Well, it is not surprising. India had a head-start due to its large English-speaking workforce. However, it has been the cornerstone of capitalistic business that it will inevitably turn to resources that cost them the least.

With the increase in prices in Indian seen in the recent past, and the rest of the non-English speaking world realizing the potential for the BPO business, it was but a matter of time that businesses would move elsewhere (read cheaper).

What is surprising though is the 45% drop...

  12. Job after Masters on After College, What Type of Jobs Should One Seek? · · Score: 1
One thing I have learnt after my MS is that "One Size Does Not Fit All". What kind of a job you search for is completely upto you, as it takes into account lot of variables specific to you.

List down a set of choices:
1 - What are your strong points? Agreed, you can do whatever you have to. But, what are you best at?
2 - Search for the jobs that interest you, or as your Research Lab professor said, challenge you.
3 - Make sure that you specify whether you are willing to relocate
4 - Highlight your Masters degree in your resume. No matter what anyone tells you, an advanced / graduate degree will still land you a better job
5 - Be Patient. Shoot for a challenging job (either in a Senior or Entry-level position). When you land the job you "WANTED", you'll be glad for your patience.

Finally, remember that with your Masters, the job opportunities available have reduced due to your qualifications. So, be flexible without compromising on your interests.

Because freedom comes at a cost. Because, when you are a citizen, you promise to abide by the laws of the land. Because, all rights come with duties. If they do not fulfil their end of the bargain, they cannot expect the state to keep its part.
That said, all these issues need to be treated on a case-by-case basis instead of being generalized. We need to remember that one-size-does-not-fit-all.

BTW, a curious lament: "Eh-Wire" writes of these inmate-run websites being used to badger witnesses and prosecutors.
Nowhere in the Yahoo article is the word witness even mentioned. Is this a case of the Eh-Wire's imagination running wild while trying to raise a socially important issue? Why is he providing a biased view?
