The measure is also having fun. Didn't say things were perfect before because they weren't. But I do think it got even worse removing choices. You still notice difference if you gem incorrectly, should we remove that too?
Tried WoW under Linux earlier this year and "it works" but far from as it should. Full gfx-settings under Windows and no problems with current 25 man raids. Under Linux it tries to kill itself with lowest settings.
I didn't like the idea of LFR to begin with but I guess there is a point to it. However what we get now from Blizzard is four levels of the same RAID, from LFR to Heroic and no new instances at all since release. They got a few scenarios though but I honestly hate them and they're not the old five mans in any way.
And daily grinds are indeed crap. I hate dailies and then they make them mandatory over time. At least they make them too important. I'd love to have normal quests I can run around and finish off instead. I can't pretend dailies are real content. It's all just Blizzard being lazy, just as with not creating five man dungeons.
And talents as I wrote in a reply to one of your replies. I can't really feel they make a difference at the moment. Also being lazy I suppose.
Well instead of five man dungeons we now got LFR with 25 people. So 24 strangers which are often crap and can get away with it too since it's LFR difficulty. So if they don't want to meet people in a game then I suppose an MMO is the wrong place to be to begin with.
And regarding talent trees I find that the MoP solution just makes the game far more boring. I don't feel enough of a different from the choices I make. They could just give me some fixed talents and I probably wouldn't notice. Was it with Cata they locked so you had to spend enough points in one tree to open another? That was the start of making it worse with talents.:)
Using lower ranks of a spell however was not that interesting.
Reminds me of my parents with me in the backseat. Mother going "Speed bump - bump - bump!". Of course we ran into the speed bump full speed instead of slowing down. Quite sure my father would have noticed if he didn't get distracted trying to process what was being said.:)
Sucks to be me I suppose.:) Though here in sweden we don't have any direct law against using a phone while driving by itself either. We just go for "doing something hazardous".
I think those things look amazingly fun and I'd love to try them out. But for serious gaming (which I don't do anyway) I'd stay with keyboard and mouse.
But yes the technology is interesting by itself and I suppose it could be used for so much more than gaming.:)
I just got my little Pi less than two weeks ago and it also does what I want. Serves as a web server / home server connected to an external HDD. Web server being more for testing stuff and sharing with friends so it can handle the load.
Old solution was a Core 2 Duo. Noisy and eating more energy. So far I'm happy and might buy another to see more of what it can do.
I live in sweden and sometimes we have something called snow. I've seen snow cover signs on both sides (and yeah the roads can still be clean so that normal speed is easy to keep safely). I can't read the signs, not sure how the car should be able to.
Then I'm curious about those day with snowstorms where everything is just white and you just drive slow enough and hope for the best almost feeling your way because you can't really see the road.
But sure, I can see the poles next to the road, so could the car and do calculations. I know the sign said 70km/h the day before and the car will probably just double check with a database for a known speed limit if the sign is covered in snow.
Could have modded but I rather say that this is an interesting point I wasn't aware of.
Baldurs Gate is probably the computer game I've loved the most ever and intended to buy the enhanced edition but requirement to always be online and DLC was something I didn't know and I certainly won't support.
So are probably the things I've said to them. Not sure they want to take that fight anyway. ;)
The measure is also having fun. Didn't say things were perfect before because they weren't. But I do think it got even worse removing choices.
You still notice difference if you gem incorrectly, should we remove that too?
And you can still complain and have fun. ;)

Seems like you got some of the problems at least.

Are glasses against the law?

My first thought just starting the movie and still not having read anything about it was: Must be about UNIX.
Soon I'll see if I'm right. :)
Not sure if it's winning when I say "ah fuck it - they don't want me as a customer" and I won't buy anything at all of what they want to sell. :)
WhyTF would anyone want an inbuilt PDF viewer?
A browser is supposed to display whatever I click on - any file, any format.
Well.. No it's not. :)

Not anymore it seems.

"As of CrunchBang 10 ("Statler"), the distribution is based directly on Debian and no longer on Ubuntu."
I actually use it as a joke though. No one could take it seriously. :)

The problem would be that windows 8 makes the touch interface a default from what I see. So touch interface that allows for mouse and keyboard?
And yes I know it's not that bad, but I do think the default for a desktop pc is wrong.
I'm not the poster above but I do have thoughts.

Interesting problem indeed.
I often miss the option to mod something "Sad but true". ;)
Funny I guess is the closest option.
I remember my parents tv when I was a child.
It even had a small printer at the front for those pages.
Sweden here btw. :)
Will MY next iPhone be built by robots?
I'll NEVER have an iPhone.. so no.
Could have modded but I rather say that this is an interesting point I wasn't aware of.

I'll just dig out my old discs instead.
- I see that you've been missing a lot of work lately.
- I wouldn't say I've been "missing it".
.. the answer is no.
And now that seems very valid.
And then again
Hotmail IS a bit of a relic. :)
>metro is for smartphones and tablets
No it's not. It's the default mode Windows 8 boots into, regardless of whether you run a desktop PC, a tablet.. etc.
So. Metro is for smartphones and tablets.
It's the default mode for Windows 8 even on PCs.
Yes we DO have a problem here.
I'll stick with something else.
So if you're planning to commit a crime make sure you steal another phone without the app installed?
