    You could do it with plain old FMJ and a 7.62x39 (cartridge used by the AK47) Steel core rounds would just make it that much worse.

    There is a lot more to 64bit vs 32bit than just the ability to address memory. Having word sizes that are larger can help too, along with support of operating systems that may not be available in 32bit. Then again, who needs more than a 16bit OS anyhow?

    "Software IOTLB -- Intel® EM64T does not support an IOMMU in hardware while AMD64 processors do. This means that physical addresses above 4GB (32 bits) cannot reliably be the source or destination of DMA operations. Therefore, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Update 2 kernel "bounces" all DMA operations to or from physical addresses above 4GB to buffers that the kernel pre-allocated below 4GB at boot time. This is likely to result in lower performance for IO-intensive workloads for Intel® EM64T as compared to AMD64 processors"

    gobs and gobs of memory? Intel CPUs (x86) cannot truly address as much memory as 64bit AMD CPUs. Even Intel's 64bit uses a kludge to address greater than 4GB of RAM. If you don't believe me, look at the linux kernel and the kludge that was put in for them to address greater than 4GB of RAM (with performance penalty to boot, YAY).

    That relates to the ownership of the corporation. Publicly traded corporations are owned by thousands or more people. Those working for them are not to be shielded simply because they are employees. They are the ones who did the deed. If someone steals from a 7-11 and works there, they should be punished.

    You do realize that there are only minor differences between Athlon64s and Opterons as well as Pentium 4s and Xeons (the EE chips were originally Xeons (with their huge cache) but put into the consumer level pinout pacakges.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the 3000 series was a minicomputer and not a mainframe. They would be similar to the IBM AS400s, no?

    So you are comparing existing technology with engineering samples. That works so well in a vacuum, however when both sides get to shift into dynamic design mode, that doesn't always hold true.

    By the way, how much of a difference in speed for how much of a difference in power savings is there between those chips?

    So it has 100GB of RAM and 125GB of storage, decent, but nothing "noteworthy" except for the size. Too many people would fubar it up by trying to use thought recognition. It requires THOUGHT; something entirely lacking in today's society. Besides, how many applications do you expect to make use of 100GB of RAM for a personal machine?

    and be done with it all. Googletalk is just Jabber which works with GAIM. Windows/MSN messenger and AIM work, as do Yahoo and ICQ.

    The origins of duct tape were not what I was discussing. It was the meaning. The tape is duct tape, now and until that changes. Their happens to be a brand of duct tape called duck tape, however that is not the name of the product, but rather the brand.
    As for the name of the project/appliation, it would have taken you about 2 seconds to look it up, but instead were mistaken. Get over it. I don't care if momma didn't hold you right or daddy didn't come to your little league games. Toughen up.
    As for the word Moronboi, if you don't get it, just sit down and be quiet. It is meant to be spelled that way to add meaning. The "suffix" boi has a certain "same sex affinity" correlation that it appears you just don't understand.
