  1. Which is more epic? on Duke Nukem Forever Not Dead? (Yes, This Again) · · Score: 1

DNF or the sequel to The 11th Hour?

  2. One down... on Alan Turing Gets an Apology From Prime Minister Brown · · Score: 1

Many to go. Whereas Turing's contributions are laudable, they do not justify him being singled out. Many of other innocent, nameless people suffered under the same law. What about them?

  3. Suggestion on Navigating a Geek Marriage? · · Score: 1

You're entering a marriage, not a "geek" marriage. You might classify yourself as geeks, but you're still human beings with emotions, and share more in common with that alpha male and submissive wife than you realize. There are times when your wife will think you are ignoring her in favor of your interests. There will times when you will discover incompatibilities. All of these times will require open and respectful communication and most importantly, compromise.

  4. Answer on NIH Spends $400K To Figure Out Why Men Don't Like Condoms · · Score: 1

$400k when any guy who's used one can give them the answer for free in a 5 minute phone call. Q: Why don't you wear a condom during sex? A: Because I can't feel a damn thing!

  5. VC++ EE on What Free IDE Do You Use? · · Score: 1

I'll chime in here with another plug for Visual C++ Express Edition. You don't get either MFC or ATL, but for what you want, you don't need those. Also, VC++EE can process makefiles. Augment it with Boost and the platofrm SDK, and you'll have a solid IDE for developing Windows application.

  6. Patent Piracy! on Worlds.com Sues NCSoft Over MMO-Patent · · Score: 1

As mentioned on Scott Jennings website, http://www.brokentoys.org/2008/12/29/our-legal-system-continues-to-suffer-from-random-drooling/#comments, this is another case of a patent pirate. Worlds.com is more than likely aware their case has no chance in hell, however, for a flailing company like NCSoft, mounting a defense is costly and they will more than likely settle.
