What exactly do you mean by :
Apple will have to make the choice of whether to port their music/media software to Windows...
Apple has done this already unless you mean something else. You use the same music software with your ipod with your mac that you use with your pc.
I agree, I dont understand why some people must have an answer and would rather believe in "faith" because it helps them sleep better at night.
If there is an answer, and i'm sure there is, its pretty ignorant for us to think it would be anywhere near out comprehension.
I dont think many people even realize how much they are using. I'm sure there is software you can use to track it. I personally have 3 computers and an xbox using it on a daily basis and I really have no idea what my monthly average is.
Thats what I thought when I first saw it. I said to my self, "Why not wait 2-3 years when the ps3 and xbox2 are out, and buy that version of it." If this one is successful then we know that are going to do it again with the playstation 3. We also know Microsoft never likes to be behind and they already have talked about their next system being a "media center." I wouldent be surprised if it has some kind of video recorder.
I don't feel they closed the gap enough. Sure its only $50 more for a lot more space than the average solid state, but its only $50 more than that to go from 4 gigs to 15. I would have rather seen a 1-2 gig player for $150 - $200 rather than one for $250.
This is just getting old. Does society really have nothing better to do then whine about a video game that's already been out for years? Seriously, what is even the point of banning it now? It has already sold so many copies that anyone who wanted a copy probably has one.
I'm sick of this whole parental responsibility argument. Its really not that hard to look at a game box, see a "M," and knows its "mature." It's really not rocket science and does not take such effort on their part to learn this. Its no different than taking your child to a NC-17 movie and then complaining that there was nudity and adult content. A line has to be drawn somewhere here.
It makes me wonder about all these people who are spending countless hours preparing yet another legal battle or writing yet another anti game article. Perhaps that time would have been better spent at home, with their children, teaching them right and wrong and not relying on society to do it for them.
They just cant catch a break. After every success, some problem always seems to follow.
Loose a shuttel, probe lands on Mars, ISS springs a leak, what next?
There is some luck for us digital cable folk. Comcast has already announced that their latest digital cables box's already have hard drives build in and they will soon be releasing updated software to make use of them. They have 80 gig HD's and are able to also record High Def. This was announced a few weeks ago and Tivos stock was down the next day. If you have noticed the boxes also have a Ethernet port on the back and there is eventually going to be a home networking option that will stream music/video from your computers HD. This is interesting cause in theory you would be able to copy the saved programs off the Comcast box and put them on your computer. Those of us with DVD burners can see the advantage to this.
The best part about this is we don't have to shell out $800 bucks for a new box, its just given to us by Comcast for the same monthly service charge.
the fastest PC workstations beat the Mac's in Photoshop
Could I ask where you are getting the statics to back that up? Every test I have read shows the G5 beating the fastest PC in photoshop renderings,
The article did have some good information but I found it was not consistent throughout. Some features were listed as pros for certain services, but not mentioned for others that also had that feature. For example: He mentioned that one allows for gift cards, but failed to mention so does itunes. He also said musicmatch offers cover art with the downloads, but failed again to mention itunes also does. I think it would have been better if there would have been some type of chart that listed all the features and simple indicated if that service had them or not.
Agreed. the iPod would not be the #1 selling player if that statement were true nor would Apple still be in business.

Both of those articles are compleatly outdated. They are comparing G4's not G'5s... big difference.

Does anyone even care about the leetness of their speed with Apple stuff?
Yes I do... The more speed, the faster my photoshop projects render.
Well your in luck because itunes DOED provide cover art. This was something that was missed in the article.
