  1. I still play on D&D Is 30 · · Score: 1

My character has sorta shitty ability scores but more than makes up for it with his prestige class.

    Ability Scores:
    STR 14
    DEX 13
    CON 15
    INT 10
    WIS 15
    CHA 15

Race: Wild Elf (Magically altered to be an Elf of Vera-Tre [Scarred Lands CS])
    Class Info: 9 Druid/6 Shifter

Shifter is a PRC from the Masters of the Wild splat-book. Every level I gain shiftes-per-day and a new shifting form. Currently my character can turn into the following:
Diminutive - Giant ~ Humanoid, Monsterous Humanoid, Animal, Beast, Magical Beast, Plant

Next level I get Abberition and Ooz as well as Huge size category. By the time I complete the PRC (10 levels, 4 left to go) I will have the ones listed above as well as Undead, Ousider, Dragon and construct and will be able to do collosal size. Not to mention I will have unlimited shifts per day. Durration of shifts is equal to total character level.

I would like to add that I do enjoy 3.5, flanking is fun. =) I am very much enjoying the Scarred Lands campaign setting.

See www.mortality.net - Adlon, the sites owner is our DM so you can immagine we have a good game.

This brings up the question tho: Will wireless USB be plug and play (metaphorically speaking I guess)? I mean, will your WUSB hub detect devices in the area and automagically set them up? This could be interesting to see. Immagine WarUSBing.

  5. If Life... on NASA Mars Press Briefing & "Significant Findings" · · Score: 1

If they have found evidence of microbial (or more advanced) present or past life on Mars give a thought to the chances that there is intelligent life outside of our planetary system. Two planets in the SAME PLANETARY SYSTEM. We have millions upon millions of stars in our galaxy alone. And there are over 100 billion galaxies known to exist out there. The odds just got alot better that we are not alone. Tho, at the same time, we also now run the risk of being non-unique and therefore life is just a standard thing that occurrs everywhere. Religions will go haywire, what will people believe in? People will have to change their ideas of 'my religion is better than your religion'. I can't wait.

  6. I say it's SCO on Author signs MyDoom virus · · Score: 1

Darl has said that the lawsuits were a last-ditch effort to regain capitol (or something similar). Why would it not surpise me that they would have a virus written to drum up more media attention and make themselves look like the good guy in offering a reward. Then they release the variant into the public targetting MS. While it obscures the fact that they wrote it, it also puts linux users in a bad light and throws investigators off the trail.

They simply set up a temporary site to handle the customers while their primary site is down. No problemo!

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Andy IS a real person and he is trying to get caught after he realized that he was duped and SCO never was going to give him the million dollars they promised. Instead, they now have elite hit teams out in the field tracking him down as we speak.

  7. Oh no~ on USPTO Grants CA Lawyer Domain-Naming Patent · · Score: 2, Insightful

I am now in danger of stepping on his IP!! Technically couldn't this guy sue any website owner under the 'name@subdomain.domain' portion? Is it possible this person is doing this, though, for a good cause? Maybe he is sick of seeing this sort of thing happen so he worked out this scheme to make the legal system look at how rediculous alot of these patents are? It's just a theory. I sure hope that is the case though.

  8. Re:Verifier on Feds Thwart Extortion Plot Against Best Buy · · Score: 2, Interesting

I messed around with this, you can do it several ways. I had an img in an email that called a remote php script which got the requesting IP address, stored it in a mySQL table along with an index id, then generated an email that was sent to me notifying me of a new entry. The php script finally returned an image to the email recipient.
