  1. K Band fun on A La Carte Cable TV Channels? · · Score: 2, Interesting

A few years ago Roadway the trucking company had a store here in Akron where they are based it was called Rex salvage, Roadway was self insured so if something got damaged lost etc it ended up for sale there. I bought a whole K band dish (about 6 ft accross) tuner and all that jazz. Wow was it cool I had cable too but at the time K Band was used mostly for live feeds etc generally high quality and unencrypted. I am a news junkie so I loved I I saw stuff way before the general public and generally unedited. show were sparse and feed on them were wild but I could never helo feeling like a redneck with the dish in the backyard.

They tell me they will look into it and get back to me , about 2 weeks later I get a new bill with a note they have reviewd my returns etc. NOW They want $ 30,000 , Needless to say I told them to go f**k themselves. About 2 days later I got another letter saying that if I didnt pay or make arrangments to pay within 30 days they would put a lien on and possibly SIEZE my property ! So I transffered my home (clear at the time) into my mothers name (screwed up her capital gains tax but thats another story) AND I hired an Attorney. $700 later and about 2 months and it was all sorted out. It all stemmed from a vendors liscence I had , but I had never used it, I was at one time considering starting my own company. BASICALLY They ESTIMATED what my taxes SHOULD have been for the last 3 years combined, estimated based on what other business of the same description were making. NUTS !

Hey seriousness aside, I lived in a rural area of Ohio about 1/4 mile from the municipal airport, I was talking on the phone on the back porch and here comes an Apache attack helicopter , it landed and refueled, I could see from my porch, then another and another, all total 25 in about a 4 hour period. I mean Joe User (or Joe Six Pack) Only cares if he can do what he need to with apps he wants to. NOT what someone else tells him is a better application. He wants to play his games, surf the web, doodle with his digital checks and balance his checkbook, Tell me of any GOOD applications the average computer illeterate could use to do his checkbook, edit his pictures etc that is as brainless as developers make them for Windows/Mac ? ZIP , There are GREAT apps for doing all those things but in general they are for much more sophisticated users. When Jp can go to CompUsa and buy anything he wants , games, tools, etc, that will run on Linux and has some support number he can call when he breaks shit THEN Joe will use Linux on the desktop.

The point of owning a gun isnt a simgle person standing up to what THEY percive as injustice, its a collective effort. If the US goverment said tommorow, for example ALL (insert somethign here) must do (insert somethign distastefull here) , Whats to stop them form doing absolutley anything they want ? I SERIOUSLY suggest making your own (YES it is %100 legal, but you can never transfer it as in sell it only your heirs may inherit it) You can buy what are called 80% Frames or Receivers for 1911A1 (Colt 45) M16 etc, and cheap, these are the registered parts (supposed to have a serial number) The 80% parts are %80 done they generally just need a couple holes drilled, rails cut etc. Its actually VERY cost effective, not to mention FUN :) Then you buy a parts-kit for your weaponof choice these sell cheap, hell look up sten kit on ebay, the receiver tube is just a piece of exhust tube and it a quite effetive SMG. Buy the parts let them sit, then you know thell be available when you need them. I go on the assumption that the day I need a full auto SMG, well the laws that are in place now will be long gone.My Bren cost me 119 bucks with a spare barrel and 2 mags, it could if needed be put together in a couple of hours with an arc welder and a dremmel. Losing a chain is not the danger , not even getting whacked with a broken chain at 60-70mph, a chain guard will stop almost all damage, it hurts but its not too bad with no chain guard like when my race bike let loose..

The REAL problem, and I give you this from a lot of riding and racing experience is when a chain catches in the back wheel/brake assy, one of my WORST ever accidents was due to exactly this, I had laid the bike down earlier and apparently bent the rear sprocket. I lost the chain at 50 or so mph, it catapulted me over the handlebars , then the bike ran over me, I was OK when I first hit the ground but the bike running over me broke 4 ribs, my jaw, my left elbow and my right wrist. I was 16 I walked home the rest of the way (1/4 mile) leaving the bike in the ditch, collapesed on the couch and called my mom and said mom im really f***ked up and hung up , she got home in like 10 minutes flat (normally a 30 minute drive) came in saw me bleeding all over and writhing in pain and said "OH Thank GOD I thought you were f****ed from drugs or something"
