Its not uncommon (on saturday when I am the only one drinking it) to go through 7 or 8 pots before 2pm, they are big post so, well im not sure how many cup, but it takes close to 2 pots for me to get going in the morning. I would say 100 cups would be no problem IF you are used to and have the tolerance for that much caffine.

I just spent 2 days getting the old IH (International Harvester for the uninformed) going right, new starter solenoid, new points, coil condensor, ground the valves and changed the trans fluid, so I could disc, till and plow the fields (20 acres) for planting. I grew up on a tractor in the summer and fall and to be honest its the most peacefull place I know. Hell when my kids get old enough Ill be fighting them so I can still mow the lawn.
Im being as serious as a heart attack about this, I love riding on the old IH (the same one I grew up riding with my grandad) and man oh man what a peacefull feeling. As long as youre not drunk....I did that once took me 2 weeks to fix the tractor after that (even had the police out:)

I would agree in general , most who say they have a photographic memory are full of it. I said I have a semi-photographic memory, it applies mostly to verbal communications, and I can repeat a conversation verbatim, I have a good retention in reading and a good task oriented memory but nowhere near what my verbal memory is, and thats why I say semi. My friends tried the recorder thing when I was about 20 , A week later my retention was near perfect (and good for a $50 bet among about 4 skeptical friends:)
I was started in a program called OASIS (Opportunities for Advanced Student Instruction in Stow) in 2nd grade and by age 11 was attending Summer Classes at Baldwin-Wallace College. I graduated HS at 15. I met several people who had TRUE photographic memories through GCI and at MENSA and I learned very quickly memory retention did not equal intelligence. Most, when engaged with difficult tasks could only draw on previously consumed knowledge. Memory does NOT equal problem solving skills.

I really had to learn how and when to pick my points, It was a major problem for my wife, she learned from my family If I said it was said I was right, but that led to her just trying no to say anythig that would bite her, I really had to learn not to pull the you said....... thing out of my hat very often.
I also really have to catch myself and understand other people arent like me. They just arent. Sometimes I wish I could just walk around in what seems to be the blur other people call life. If you can think of a productive use for our talents let me know would you, other than annoying the hell out of people and remebering things that are better forgotten I cant find a good use for it.

Heh , Well I must say I use RHEL , and I installed it on my laptop for parity in development, Until I needed to test some compat issues with a package so I installed FC1 on my laptop. WOW SuperFast , compared to RHEL 3 (AS and ES) I guess its all relative I was thrilled with FC1 speed BUT that was in relation to RHEL 3
I was horribly disapointed with test 1, WOW , I mean I install it on release day and there are already like 500 megs of updates ?!?! , Not to mention all the menu issues and other buggies, I know its a "test" but wow RH betas were never in such disarray in my experience. On the other hand I was Thrilled with FC1 for my laptop, everything just Worked like it was supposed to I hope FC2 release is as good.

This reminds me of the Back page of a 1957 Cars of Tommorow magazine, that was dealing with Drag Racing and Maximum speed, its claim laid out very scientifically with all kinds of formulas, was that a Drag car could never accelerate and stop beyond 200 mph in a 1/4 mile, because well it was just scientifically impossible.
Thanks, I put it together last year, 12 coats of competition yellow had it painted to match my FZR, Runs 12 flat in a Quarter, not bad for a 6k lb monster with only a 351C in it.

Perfect, fresh water dosent rot wood typically, take for example lake erie here in ohio, there was recently (last 5 years or so) a salvage operation to recover a ship carrying wood, it had been at the bottom 150 years. The wood was perfect. Also in Tobermory Canada there is a great wreck the Arabia , late 1890s in unreal condition. 110' dive but a lot of fun. I have done a LOT of diving in my life and a good 3/4 of that in fresh water, the preservation is fresh water never ceases to amaze me.
Well why not use the SAP DB ? It is open source, and while AdibasD may not be it seem like for compatibility it would be a whole lot better to use the same backend.
They probably did , but not for the reason you think, A lot of companies buy them in bulk for their IT departments then reload the with whatever their fancy is. I did the same think about a year ago I ordered like 10 of the $199 Lindows ones, they were 1.5 ghz or so 256 meg and good little machine Half ended up being reloaded with RH 7.3 the other half W2K wkst. It was CHEAP hardware, and I knew it would be linux compatible.
Why is this going to be any different than Dells attempt at selling Linux Based PC's ? Dell tried it and it failed. For a lot of reasons, support, lack of customers and about 50 other reasons. Im curious as to why HP thinks they can make this succeed.
I mean seriously who ever thought it was a good idea to run a firewall on the actual computer connected to the net ? I mean you can buy an applicance router/firewall that is GOOD for what 29 Bucks , thats what I just paid for my netgear wireless router. I have never understood why you would want to run the firewall on the actual connected system. Guess they cant say its better than running nothing anymore.
I love when a new product is announced they get me all excited, I mean I would buy a couple of these tonight IF I COULD FIND A FRIGGIN PRICE ! People do generally like to know what something costs , unless youre buying a Bose Acoustic Wave radio, then youre better off not knowing what it costs.
