Who said they would have liked it? The Clinton administration was about as republican as it gets.
Because in the US, calling someone liberal is actually an insult for some reason which I don't understand. The only options in an electiono are right wing, or more right wing. There's no party that's really middle of the road.
And while Dubya says he's a small c conersvative, he's actually more left wing than any other president. Sure he cuts taxes and believes in prayer in school, but his administration is protectionist, and it wants to control everything in the name of security. A right wing government would vehemently oppose protectionism.

Sometimes it's just easier to sell your patent than it is to litigate.
I'm with you - I carry my laptop in a Samsonite bag as well. It's safe, secure, and I don't have to worry about thieves knowing I have a laptop... Targus bags are just too damned obvious...
See in the Gnome world, I've been able to get away with not ever installing Qt... That is until I recently installed OpenSuSE and picked gnome instead of KDE (Yast is Qt). I'm switching OpenSuSE to KDE tonight.
In KDE, there is still no real drawing program like The Gimp written in Qt. If you have to load gtk in KDE than you'll slow down, and if you have to load Qt in Gnome you'll have a slowdown.
lol one time, I had some ass hat box me in so bad there was absolutely no way I could get out. He btw was parked illegally behind me too. Behind him was an entrance to an alley way.
I put the car in reverse, and pushed his car backwards so I had enough room to get out. I was quite proud of myself that day haha...
Drive into the spot, nose first (wheel will be cranked hard to the right). Drive front corner tire over the curb. Once wheel is over the curb, crank left. When wheel comes back off curb, you are parked properly. Sure it might get you a ticket, but it sure is fast:)
No, they will both have less. This is what the RIAA wants, at least two significant players that they can play off of each other. Apple won't agree to higher prices? Then the RIAA can take their ball and go home, because they no longer need Apple, they can sell everything through Google. Google won't raise prices higher than Apple? I guess Apple will get all of the business. This is the same thing they've done with copyright law.
Isn't it anti-competitive behaviour to collude? A group of recording companies getting together and deciding where to sell their music because of the price - that's pretty damned near collusion.
But what, the cowardly SCOTUS probably won't do anything about it. Everyone's in the back pocket of someone in the US I suppose...
It all depends on how far away you sit really. If you sit five feet away, a 27" might be all you need. I sit twelve feet away, and for that, it's recommended you have a 51" or better.
I personally only use google because of google groups. When trying to find information about a particular issue I have while coding, google groups serves me much better than most web searches. I've grown quite tired of seeing usenet mirrored in about a thousand different web sites out there.
What else did you expect? She'd been told that she had to do all her homework, and believed it.
Way OT now, but when I was in high school, an A was 86%, and in math and most sciences, homework counted for 10% of my grade. I was so cocky I was able to still get an A without doing any homework.
Hopefully somebody posts a review that actually tells me how Fedora Core 5 is different than 4
Newer version of Gnome -> 2.0.14 Internal support for Mono and stuff like f-spot. New theme. Uglier background that looks like Fedora Bubbles. Uglier startup screen that looks like Fedora Bubbles. No more xfce4 on base install. You need to install from yum.
Man, someone was really colour blind when they picked the new default them for FC5. The first thing people see after installing FC5 is the most god-awful desktop theme ever created. Granted you can change it, but it's a really bad first impression IMO.
I'm seriously on the cusp of switching back to XP because of all the wireless bullshit issues I have.
It's a friggin' kernel module. Every time there's a kernel update, I do this bullshit song and dance waiting for an update on the driver. I'm growing weary of it on my laptop.
Well I gave it the old college try. I might take one more kick at the can with Gentoo... Then back to xp...
than with classic ASP or technologies like PHP or JSP
JSP? Are you sure you're comparing apples and oranges here? JSP is just one part of J2EE, and the combination as a whole is competitive with.Net... PHP and Classic ASP, perhaps, but JSP, I think you're mistaken.
IMO, something that is going to take over the desktop world needs to be competitive with Windows or OSX. Both are light years ahead of Linux, and Gnome development on wireless support is really lacking. NetworkManager was a good service, but development on it has fallen behind for other, more seemingly useless features in Gnome.
No, Sir, I have not. Wireless is not a major selling point for desktops in the enterprise. Secure-wireless networking is not a show-stopper for Ubuntu.
I know MANY businesses who use laptops, and many businesses who use wireless. Do you honestly think businesses only use desktops?
'Windows' is another case where the trademark should not have been granted. Same with 'word'.
Why not? Windows, within the confines of computer applications, is a valid trade mark. No other product can be named windows within the operating system world. No BeOS Windows and no Mac OS Windows. Anything wrong with that?
Conversely, Microsoft Word, as a computer program has every right to have a trademark on it. No other computer program should be called Word.
That doesn't mean Microsoft owns said trademark outside that world.
For example, here in Vancouver, we have a company called Allied Windows that manufactures windows. Allied Windows will not benefit or be hurt by the success of Microsoft Windows.
Now Lindows OTOH, was obviously riding on the coat-tails of Windows, and Microsoft was in their right to enforce their trade mark.
Ubuntu (Linux + Gnome + tweaks) is also very usable.
Ever had to connect to a WPA enabled network? It is not usable at all. The wireless tools are mediocre at best; the NetworkManager service doesn't support wpa, and it appears like development is moving ahead at tutrtle's pace.
And stil, the menu editor seems to be read only (at least in FC). It's getting better, but no where close to mom and dad simplicity IMO.
I like Linux and Gnome a lot, but it has some serious usability hurdles to get past first.
I'd have to say that this is an attempt at a straw man, but misses the mark by largely superceding the argument in question. Anyone who actually uses Bully to kill, or even harm, someone is laudably/laughably determined. The product just plainly isn't going to help you in the commission of a crime.
Partially. The OP is guilty of false analogy. A better analogy would be if you were to point at the movie industry instead, who regulary puts out movies of questionable taste. I'm not taking a side here - the game Bully is probably as irresponsible as Postal 2, but in the end, it's the parents of the child who bullies, and the bullies themselves who are to blame, not some silly video game.

Sounds like you're on an underpowered machine. I'd even consider dumping Gnome for Xfce4

Those are optimal ratios, YMMV of course.
$2000 / $40 a commercial movie = 50 movies. We watch about a movie a week... In a year you've recovered.
+ 9. Can drink Beer, 10. Can drink Beer. And did I mention? Can drink Beer... Mmmmmm Beer...
You're under the assumption that the PS3 will ever launch...

I'll bet it'll launch before the Phantom Gaming console

Fucked me up in University though haha...
With all the plusses, what's the minus? I don't get the movie theatre experience? Big deal. I can live with that, given all the other bonuses I get.
Still, I'll probably go see X-Men 3 this year, and Spider-Man 3 next year because they are still worth going out for.

No, this dude apparently worked for Raytheon for 22 years. Really speaks about the quality of people who work for Raytheon huh?
I'm glad to know they have computer engineers like that running the show. No wonder so many guidance systems are off target haha..
No, but you can email the mayor at:
