  2. Re:Maslows Hierarchy of Needs on Pay vs. Happiness · · Score: 3, Interesting

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a commonly misunderstood theory. It's about motivation. You can't expect someone to do something for self actualization, when safety need isn't being met. He theorizes that in order to have self-actualization as a motivator, you need to first fulfill physiological, safety, belongingness, esteem etc... A employee who cannot meet physiological needs will not be motivated by esteem needs. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a motivation theory. Of course, Alderfer's ERG theory is also important to examine.

Funny, a Hybrid gets the similar fuel economy to a Golf TDI or a Smart Car.

I'll wager the diesel will just keep on ticking.

Furthermore, if America is fighting a "War on terror" and have detained someone for being involed in terror, can't we assume that they are a "Prisoner of War"?

America just changed the definition so that they don't have to abide by international law. They are POW's, being held without trial or due process, many for an unjustified period. That's why I compare the US to China - this is a callous act.

Again, my country is no better. Canada imprisoned and eventually deported Zundell without trial or due process either. I don't support Zundell, but support his right to trial.

No mention of the problem on Gigabyte's web site, some guy on a forum found it by comparing an earlier run with a later run to find the missing capacitor. They were good to repair it, but they covered it up pretty good too..

I'm not a huge fan of Gigabyte. Honestly, I've grown fond of Soltek... My last one really gave me no trouble at all, and I think I'd give them another chance, for a less expensive board they are really nice...

Sometimes judges don't know what to do, and make a call that's incorrect. It can happen, and only a peer review can correct it. That's why the appeal process is the way it is.
