Anecdote: My dad sold our family home a few years back. The house is large (6 bedroom) and sits on a huge lot in a nice neighborhood. The first listing agent said, "Sorry. We can't say 'large yard' or we'd be seen targeting families _with_ children. What if a single person or childless couple might want it?" I didn't know that not having kids is a protected class. My dad got no offers. After that listing expired, another agent was willing to describe the lot as a 'park-like setting'. It sold rapidly. To a couple with kids who also run a daycare in the lower level.
I don't know what the real estate laws are, but from what I've seen, the whole Fair Housing Act is a minefield for the profession.

Businesses that do a lot of government contract work start believing that they have been granted an exclusive license from a king giving them sole rights to a market or product. Sort of pointless. I have pro-gun stickers on my car. And I imagine I've probably been followed for the purpose of cleaning my house out. Right up to the armed security guard in the gatehouse to my neighborhood.
Meanwhile, the antis aren't ready for a break-in or home invasion. Why would they? They have nothing. But try convincing the gangstas of that who sit them down and question them as to where the guns in the nice pictures are at.

Target shooting, hunting and collecting guns are wealthy peoples hobbies. Pandering to neurotic hippies' fears just doesn't pay as well.
