The bug was caused after a new Counter Strike Source update. Because of some errors in the new patch, some servers kept their client connections open, thus resulting in major ping. There have also been a lot of complaints regarding a major decrease in fps in the latest patch:

nProtect is not a sure way to eleminate hackers, but it's a pretty good at detecting if any hacks are running.
If you used nProtect before, you will know what I mean. I used to run a TSearch and a debugger program for my C++ applications, and nProtect wouldn't allow me in any of it's protected games. I remember a few ways of patching old versions of nProtect, but they are eleminated now, and it's pretty hard to stop for an AVERAGE programmer.
Look at it this way:
- The more channels you have, the more buttons you need to press
- You have more options, so you will have more favourites
- Commercials cost less because less people are watching them(Lets see, instead of 100 channels we have 500, so that could be a LOT less people watching your commercials)
- There is more factors that could prevent you from having over 100 channels.
