I can't wait to see Johnny Depp play Prince playing Willie Wonka. How many examples of remakes that we don't need must we be subjected to. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest may an ORIGINAL idea and it's implementation would be good instead of the same recycled drivel.
But that's just me.
Never mind the man behind the curtain.
Have you seen the actual document that expresses "Moore's Law"? I'd hardly call a single graph (that's really not mentioned in the text) a LAW.
Cheers.
Wow! Another hack with less than normal hygiene creates a device that my kids could hack together. I tend to lead more towards the cool AND creative kind of hack. A bit of imagination never hurts either.
Cheers.
That's NOT overclocking. Overclocking is running a CPU faster than the manufacturer rated it. There have been all sorts of speed hacks over the years. I was kind of fond of the V-series CPUs as replacements for the 8088.
Cheers.
And we still aren't talking about the technical merit of ZFS or if it will be open-sourced with Solaris 10 and added to Linux.
Sheesh. A billion billion million sheeshs.
Only in America would we be worried about stopping at a rest stop in an age where crime is the lowest in 40 years.
Americans have become addicted to fear.
And these numbers are so real you can't provide a live link to the data?
Moore's law = Moore bullshit From one graph in one research paper we derive this nonsense?

Apparently you haven't bought a house recently or had to disclose financial information for loans. The USAPATRIOT ACT has very long tenticles. Cheers.

Why not check out the Berne Convention? Cheers.

Even MS admits that OpenOffice.org is as good as Office 97. Kinda like driving a 2002 Tahoe as opposed to a 2004.
Cheers.
So what's your point? Good software comes from egomaniacal religous figures? If that were the case, Windows would be the BEST UI. Cheers.
Nostalgia just ain't what it used to be!

Repeat until it sinks in, "There is no such thing as Moore's Law. There is no such thing as Moore's Law."
I have even a better idea, GIVE THEM FREAKIN' BOOKS. A $99 book reader (whatever that is) is hardly a replacement for a $60 book.
And we wonder why there are so many Luddites out there. Technology for technology sake is assinine.
Would you like a box for OS/2 3.0 or 4.0. Damn I miss it.
Here's a corporate example of Apple's "success!"
Apples in the EnterpriseCan you provide linkage to show that NASA uses 286 - 486 CPUs? I had heard this before but I can't find any information on it.
Cheers.
I'd hardly call winning 1 million dollars GIVING it to Uncle Same. But that's just me. Cheers.
