If you bleed out before medivac arrives, who cares if you would have lost a leg?
This is complete and utter nonsense. Most every military member gets a version of first aid similar to what the Air Force calls "Self-aid and Buddy Care (SABC)" The use of tourniquets is reserved for when the normal steps to stop bleeding don't work. Elevation, direct pressure, pressure points and then tourniquet. This is the standard procedure for in normal civilian first aid and has nothing to do with responder time.

And I'd be willing to bet that almost EVERYONE was sent a complete list of what their coverage covered. I KNOW my home owner's insurance doesn't cover floods. If you can't be bothered to read your statement of coverage, you deserve no sympathy.

This is no different than suggesting that because a ______ (insert race here) person was an asshole to you then all ________ people are assholes. No race, gender, religion or profession has a lock on assholes. The percentage of assholes seems to be constant in all groups.

I've been using SunOS since 3.5 and Linux since 0.93. I prefer the overall "feel" of Solaris over Linux but the driver support for those of us who prefer the commodity X86 hardware is not all that good on Solaris. That's the main reason I choose Linux over Solaris.
