    What is more fun is blocking the websites that these spams advertise. Yeah sure some people get their websites blocked (if their on the same virtual server) but if someone phones and complains you tell them exactly why and they should find a better hosting provider. If we get spam complaints about our customer websites they get their accounts terminated with no refunds (some people should really read their SLA's).

    Akami host their clusters all over the planet it is a fully redundant service it would of had to be a major fault to cause it to go down.

    Our tech support bods line is we don't (officially) support linux but I'm sure we'll be able to help. And sometimes they get passed to an engineer if they have a problem our tech guys can't deal with. Of course this depends on how busy we are and if there are any interesting articles on slashdot :)

    Now this is a strange post to read as a couple of weaks ago I was approached by the bods in our marketing department wondering if we can do exactly this sort of thing for an event being held localy. My Answer was yes, our wireless coverage of the town can give you a very good interweb connection pretty much anywhere (well at least on one side of the multistory building it's all on). So at some point in the future I will have a day full of free food (and back stage passes)

    It's not actually the carbon fibres that burn it's usually the stuff that holds it together. Have if you aply enough current to a piece of carbon you can make a cool ark.

    I don't give my gym the chance to not let me have my phone (I am on call one week in 4) however what I could do with is a waterproof one because it always stops working when I go in the pool.
