That's ok and quite a good way to stop passwords being stolen. However over here in the uk if you want someones password all you need is a chocolate bar.

Hmm, Not happening so I take it it's just the video games fault that everynow and then a kid hangs himself because he saw it on a game or enters a classroom and mows down all his classmates with his dads gun collection. This is happening but most of the time the kids are to scared of the repercusions if they do grass up the bully. So they either kill themselves or kill everyone else. (Or let it fester inside them until your in a position of power many years later with the names of these bullies firmly engrained in your head and make sure that you get revenge on the torture they put you through when you were younger. Not that I'm bitter. But revenge is a dish best served Ice cold )

Just like one of Tesla's experiments (which ended in disaster) he built a giant tesla coil and whilst it was being brought up to full power it started to "runaway" ie the whole thing aparantly started to produce more power than was being applied this resulted in the whole coil going up in smoke (as it couldn't handle the power). I read about this somewhere but I can't find the link and it was several years ago. Either that or tesla was covering up an error.

Yeah our system engineers built it (I only play with routers and a bit of administration of the systems). I know the firewall part of it is based on iptables (and possibly a bit more) but I never really get time to play with the systems very much anymore since our department got downsized and I have very little time left (what with reading slashdot and all)

We monitor the average number of connections coming from assigned blocks of ips (on port 25) then doing some strange mathy type stuff on it then blocking it if it gets to a certain number. However we can only do this on our broadband connections.

Next I recently had to use kwikfit to get some work done to car (big mistake) and they took my details and now they keep phoning me asking if I want insurance they don't understand that they can't insure my car, I have taken to swearing at them now when they call (about twice a week for a month now). I would go on about all the other crap I've had to put up with but I really can't be bothered all I can say is as a consumer vote with your wallets I know I am. Oh well I need to look into outsourcing my slashdot reading to india now

They don't believe me when I tell them that there isn't a clear path to get the stud out without taking everything apart. I'm just shocked the the mechanic won't do it for me, even when I offer to pay him.
