You know, they should have Apple I kits commercially available, and actually have the students in 1st term CompSci USE these little beasts. It will give them a good appreciation for what the computer industry evolved from, and will be less likely to take what they have now for granted.....
Heaven forbid. Why would they do such a thing as read the article? Is it not their purpose in life to generate discussion, regardless of how mis informed the discussion may be?
Personally, this whole thing stinks. I would not rent from a place that does this, or disable the GPS during my trip.....
Can they prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he was indeed speeding? Speeding is technically a crime, so therefore would ACME have to prove to the courts that he was speeding, and if so, would it not be the State that collects the fine?
1) Repeated repetitive movements cause pain in both my wrists. I tend to avoid the activities that cause the pain, so I have avoided CTS to date.
2) A friend of mine has this condition, and I am sorry, but seeing her struggle to pick up a fucking cup of coffee is no hoax.
Why would anyone outside of North America need to access computer systems, or firewalls, or routers leading to Public Utility companies? Why haven't these systems/firewalls/routers/tincans-on-a-string not been programmed to block any traffic coming from overseas? It isn't secure, by any means, but it *will* make it more difficult for these overseas hackers to gain access.....
And a throng of ppl would flock to purchasing a large Mono LCD monitor, just as they would flock to buy a large mono CRT monitor.
Mono LCD monitor demand, despite a cheaper price, will always be a niche market product. And, being niche market will mean that eventually the monitor will be MORE expensive than their colour LCD counterparts once the laws of supply and demand kick in.
Install mIRC, and direct them to the #hax0r, #7337, and #teensex channels so they can learn to be annoying, whining, script kiddies like all of the other lame ass kids surfing the 'net today.....
Darren Reed is Happy that OpenBSD is no longer using his ipf code?
Uhm, isn't the main purpose of OpenBSD to audit the code base to ensure maximum security? If he is happy they are no longer pouring over his code and checking for possible bugs and/or exploits, doesn't that make anyone here just a wee bit uncomfortable?
I thought the proper procedure for releasing a program is to release whatever you have on the original release date you set. I mean, if Apple says so, it must be true.....
For the ignorant with too many mod points, that was humor. Just so you know.....
I've seen 200+ pingers destroy LPBs, due to their skill at anticipation. Give these HPBs a low ping, and they suck 'cause their gameplay is all out of balance.
I dont get it. With all the research going on surrounding hardy micro organisms that can survive extreme temperatures, why are they not looking into changing the climate of another neighbour of ours: Venus?
Is it not unreasonable to believe that we could develop a bacteria that can survive extreme temperatures and pressures? They already exist on this planet, so who is not to say they cannot (with a few modifications) survive there?
I see no reference whatsoever to Linuxone! I always thought LinuxOne(TM) was working to become the highest rated supplier of Linux solutions based on packaging, support, and product capabilities in the global market
Ah yes. Whoever moderated me down, I thank you. You have proved that moderation does *not* work.
I think I will keep posting insightful, or witty commentary using my IAmNotA_Spork user account to show exactly how broken this moderation system is.....
Give power to an idiot, and they will only abuse it.....
ROFL
:)
Remember the cow command? It was some obscure Poke command which would make an Apple ][ moo like a cow.

What a disturbing development.
Alright, so the OpenBSD team was informed June 9th, the general public knew of the exploit on June 14th, and the openBSD team patched it on the 15th.
The reason why it took so long is probably 'cause they got Darren Reed to initially inform them of the exploit.........
I'll bet the MS developers are rubbing their handing, and giggling gleefully right now. "Oh yes, now they understand, now they UNDERSTAND!"
It will be 24 seconds of them discussing about the previously unseen 24 seconds of footage..... and it'll prolly go on for at least 5 minutes.....

Is this the next Northpoint?
Sounds like an incredibly expensive venture. Massive amounts of bandwidth to the home will necessitate a massive pipe to the internet.
$40/month sounds a wee bit too cheap, unless it is being heavily subsidized.........
Think about it for a second.

I'm not bitter.....
These guys can also hack the TiVo to downgrade it back to 1.3.........
The first person who says they should make a beowulf cluster of them should be sterilized, then shot.
"Internet Stability"???
It seems that this phrase is slowly becoming an oxymoron...........

Whoever compromised the system should post their exploit on SourceForge.

Does Perl still support GOTO?
God, I love that command.

Ok, I'm being silly. I need more coffee
Declare the asteroid to be in violation of the REcording Industries Copyright, and send all the RIAA lawyers after it.
I'm sure they could litigate the asteroid out of existance.....
