LOL!
You bring up some solid points. (Mathmatically backed I may add...;) I would also have to say that I perhaps haven't seen it/every/ time.
But I remember distinctly two seperate times. One time I was in uniform and attended through Unit function, and i heard it. Then again on my Honeymoon.
He has a point. We keep adding functionality and then we'll worry about going back and improving the code. Such is human nature however..
Look at the.com boom. We were in such a rush to get everything set up.. hurry hurry! we must get connected!!! hurry!..that we forgot about security. Now we're paying for that mistake, but it's quite interesting.
But I think we should work in both directions. Old code, and new code. But who wants to fix someone else's code?
No, what's he's saying is.. SECRET and CONFIDENTIAL machines are connected to a "net" but not/the/ net. See there are other "nets" that never ever touch the internet. So his question is, how did information on a totally seperate net get onto the internet...
The answer to that question is thumbdrives, floppies, or god forbit, a SECRET machine plugged into the Internet.

Then explain to me, why, when I go the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.. (and I've been there about 4 times) that there are always Japanese people in the museum, and during the little movie they show before you go to see the memorial, the Japanese people are always snikering when they are showing scenes of the zero's bombing our ships and killing our servicemen?
BTW -- Steve Jobs announced at the WWDC on Monday that there are now over 440 MILLION downloads.. Notice the date on the 100 Million. Last year...
THAT's market share.
Put a Tiger in your Tank was a slogan for Exxo. The gas company that was the fore-runner to Exxon. So count Exxon-Mobile in too. (As if they haven't made enough profits!!)
Strickly referring to the title of this article. Are you suprised? I know this will be modded redundant. But, seriously, what starkling breath taking innovation has Microsoft invented or implemented into their OS'es in the past however many years that someone else didn't have first?
I think Sony's butt is getting kicked. It's funny how some divisions of Sony are in cooperation with Apple (Points to the HD camera division) and some divisions aren't (points to the walkman division). Get a clue. Apple owns the mp3 player market for the next forseeable future, until wireless everywhere music comes out. (like a bluetooth pair of earphones or something...)
I actually heard that Steve Jobs said that this was the last "Cat" named release. I think the next release should incorporate an x86 release. That will scare MS.
I think it's because the people that set the deadlines make unreasonable demands and don't understand the requirements they are making upon the programmers.
Three programmers without a CEO can create a video game that generates millions of dollars of income. What can three CEOs create without a programmer?
I wouldn't be too optimistic, one of these studies comes out about once every year. Any type of attack nowadays will be labeled terroristic. Get used to it, at least for another 50 years until we all forget about September 11th.
Linux sucks. Windows is awesome. Apple is too expensive. Linksys is owned by Cisco.
God I wish people would quit bitching. Out of the box, what is the more secure operating system?
Since most computers are directly out of the box, this is an important benchmark. Which is more secure? Which has more vulnerabilities?
Yes, we all know if as many people used Linux that use Windows, there would be a 90% vulnerability rate for Linux as there is for Windows. We know that. Same with OS X.
I'm so tired of companies coming up with all these studies "proving" that !Linux is so much better than anything else. The fact is that at the end of the day, when the boxes are configured, locked down, and still usable. OS X and Linux will always be more secure than Windows.
Except for the Music this sounds like.. back in the day BBS's that had forums, chat rooms, and file sharing. The idea of sharing music (at least where I logged on) hadn't caught up yet, *don't think Mp3 had been invented yet*, but...

Disclaimer: I love Linux.

So, because you've never seen it, you must assume that I am lying?
and no.. I didn't misinterpret them. I turned around and looked at them.

Apple has dropped their 1.8 Ghz PowerMac.. Is this aiming more towards things to come? Click here for the Dropped 1.8 Ghz PowerMac entry
Answer to question: Yes, and No. (I think I just replied arbitrarily (sp), don't know if it had something to do with yours)

if you have a ppc processor.. doesn't work (afaik) on x86.. right?

Where is apple in all this mess? Anyone aware? Go Fruit!!
Actually does run on Windows. 2003 I believe. They switch from Unix to Windows about 2+ years ago..
But there's no scientific evidence that says that theirs ..not.. either.. is there?
Seriously... Does anyone really give a FUCK if there is/was water on Mars?
Damn. Good call.

We are worried that someone will take the chip in the passport? What about the fucking passport itself? Fuck the damn chip.
