  1. Microsoft on Apple Developing Two-Button Mouse · · Score: 1

Microsoft brand mice. (Most likely made by someone else) has a really neat feature... The scroll mouse feels like jelly, it doesn't "hard click" when scrolling it's really smooth. I think that's actually kinda nifty.

  2. Not being an IE User on IE7 Details Emerge · · Score: 1

I haven't used IE for several years. Is this good? I would hope they would build in RSS support so it can compete with Tiger's Safari.
Oh wait... Didn't Microsoft say they aren't making a Mac IE?

  8. detection of botnets on Observing Botnets with Honeynets · · Score: 5, Informative

For those of you that use Snort as an Intrustion Detection System, there are some excellent rules that will detect botnets located at BleedingSnort

Look for IRC rules that are non-standard ports. Very easy to run.

  9. Optical Fiber on 1.4mm Thick Gigabit Ethernet Cable · · Score: 2, Insightful

I guess I don't understand what's the point in this article other than "informational". We have optical fiber cable in my office, it can't be any thicker than about 2 mm's.

I really appreciate the fact that people are generating new technologies, to make things thinner, however, this is where stuff should be going, not groundbreaking news.

  10. Seems like on Google 302 Exploit Knocks Sites Out · · Score: 4, Funny

Seems like all the hackers are struggling now-a-days. There are no "good" exploits coming out anymore. No directory Unicode transversals.. No Code Red, No Nimda. Not even SQL Slammer...
We haven't had a good exploit/0day in how long? Since the Webdav exploit? Or the RPC DCOM? Now we have to use Google, phishing techniques, and URL redirection. We are scraping the bottom of the barrell apparently.
