I work as a Lab Manager at a University in Philly. Our lab fee budget has been totally Shafted. In Fall 2001, our budget was $105K with 560 students. In Fall 2002, we had 711 students and $90K. Fall 2004 gave us 725 students and $65K. It's totally ridiculous! In Fall 2005, I've been told to be ready for a possible 800+ students, and of course, I haven't heard anything about me getting more money.
Bravo my good sir. I totally agree. Been there, done that. I had to reduce my computer size, installed the KVM to allow me to move computers on top of the desk, and tidy up the cables.
Can't you like something, but still want it to improve?
Yes you can. I just don't like it when people complain and sound like they were pushed into using something and then everyone offers up their opinions of how it should have been done differently. Apple did what they did to satisfy as many customers out there as possible. And they even left the OS open to customizations so that other people can download apps to change things to their own personal liking.
If you don't like it, then don't use it. That's your choice.
For me, I love OS X. I find it much easier to use, both on the simple applications and in using Darwin.
Damn internet, why can't it all be instantaneous? "What, this URL now links to this server as of 2.2 seconds ago in a court four thousand miles away? OK, done."
Fair enough. A wise and well clarified point of view.
I also understand the need to look for possible irregularities and suspicious behavior, the way that it is done in local law enforcement currently. But giving this power to anyone with FBI credentials....
Bravo. Well Said! And it's true. if the terrorists wanted to change society, then isn't that what what are doing right now, to ourselves. So, if society is being changed, and by our own government, and by means that inflict fear in the population, then does that mean that we can qualify them as domestic terrorists?
Please define what "a little rights" are to you. I personally value my right to privacy and I don't consider that a small right.
The way I see things, the terrorists are already winning by forcing so many changes into our governmeant and our way of life. They wanted to blow up a few buildings to scare us, and they did that. But now we have our own government to do the scaring for us. And all in the name of "homeland security".
For further example, see Macintosh vs. Windows

SHAFTED AGAIN!
Right, 1500 meters = .93 miles (roughly).
The parent poster said "nearly a mile high".
Birth first, death next. That is how it is arranged. It's BC!
All I Have to say is this: Suck It. Suck it Long, and Suck it Hard. That's what you get for being a total sellout.

I recommend a window BESIDE your monitor.
Of course, for multi screen capabilities.
does EVERY post have to bash microsoft? get over it they suck we know...
Nyeh... I don't think they all need to, but I don't see why they shouldn't if they can.
