    continue playing the game. I mean come on.. look at how long it's been out and how many people still play it. Also, look at how many people don't play newer James Bond games. I think even without mods for this game, it's just something sweet. With mods though, it'll only add to the (large enough) replay value.

    If they allowed anyone to make one, yes. There would be no stable internet domains, and thus, it would be a lot easier to masquerade as another, popular website.

    Hacking and Social Engineering would only be made easier.

    Yeah, but Open-Office and MoZilla does. I think in time, everything will become easier (of course). If GIMP is going to run on Windows though, then there should be no hard way to install it. Windows is just user friendly like that.. =/

    I'll tell my friend to download it and see how easy it is to install and use. *Hugs Slackware*

    Well, yeah, but I meant just the software in general. Open-Office, MoZilla, Apache, etc.

    People will eventually just crave more and more and will have to go to the source to get it.

    I think since a lot of GNU/Linux/GPL software is porting to Windows systems, people will eventually realize that it is coming from a good source. And in time, people might actually decide to adapt to that source, instead of waiting for the software to come to them.

    Besides, in the real world, don't you usually get more when you go for something, instead of waiting for it to come to you?

    With the combiniation of both of these, I think Linux will top Windows.

    Even the schools around here at adapting Linux... it's just that most of them complain about desktop interfaces and such. Not everyone knows how to use Linux. As the Cisco teacher at my school stated: "With the addition of KDE, I believe Linux will become more mainstream." and that is 100 % true.

    Because of a merger of these two UIs, I believe we'll see a unity amongst a lot of other things also. No longer will my friends have to ask me which is better, haha. Once the world can use Linux as easy as they can Windows, I believe we'll see a takeover. Besides, you have to be pretty stupid if you can't use Mandrake or Lycoris. =P

    That's not always true. Sure, people attack other people even though they have never met them before, but don't you think that if they were an enemy it would make them more of a target to a big attack like that?

    And if them clicking on spyware bots and such makes them unhappy, then maybe they should consider another profession, or some more training.

    I might have to think about getting a newer version... for some reason, I'm having some bad problems with my server.

    I'm sure that the newer ones have less bugs and more things to do. The older ones work, yes, but nothing beats updated software.

    Not really. I don't see a problem with it -- look at gas stations and such; churches, bands, etc post banners advertising and asking for stuff and no one really cares. I find this the same way... just more professional. And besides, wouldn't you think that it would give the store more customers if people started coming in with their laptops to use the hot spot? Of course. People have that little knack to buy food and drinks when their minds are off into cyber space...

    That's very sweet. I love how Linux is porting too all kinds of devices, and not just personal computers and servers.

    I wonder if it will be possible to download that version of Linux somewhere so that I may install it on my current PDA? I'm really interested in checking out the code itself also... just to see what makes it so flexible on the PDA.

    I admit, I pirate software, but I never pirate games -- just for that one reason. I know that it takes time and effort to create a game... I think someone deserves money for that. And besides, without money, the software developers would have to get another job that pays.. deterring from the time it takes to work on the game.

    I pay to support. I pay for the game because the game makes me happy. I enjoy video games. The video game industry is $10 billion... and it can grow higher. Not everything is free...

    I wasn't aware that a worm could do that. I know a virus could, but a worm? Nope.

    Worms flood, use up resources, crash computer systems, etc. They don't overwrite files. So I believe "Witty" is just another script-kiddie virus. After all... it doesn't take that much knowledge to make Windows unbootable. Just Deltree it with a batch file... =/

    I don't really consider eBay and Microsoft.com spam, because you have to actually sign up for it. But with some sites, the moment you even visit it, they catch onto your e-mail and start sending mail.

    AOL can block all of the websites they want; I believe there is an invention out called the Proxy...

    I don't want to sound like some angry, concerned parent, but that idea really should have been implemented a long time ago. Hopefully it will get going though.

    Also, I think that in best belief, porn sites using the .com, .net, .org domain names and such should not be allowed. Just keep it at .xxx or .sex.

    Maybe we'll see some .con domain names... referring to gangs and whatnot? Haha.

    When we think of a rival for AOL, who do we think of mostly? MSN, of course. When AOL launched their prized High-Speed DSL service, who was next to follow and stayed right behind them? MSN. Now wouldn't you see some little "defeating competition" problem in there somewhere?

    Just wait until we hear from the DOJ. If they wouldn't let Oracle purchase PeopleSoft, they sure as hell had not better let this happen.

    In the better case, if they somehow do purchase it, it's pretty hard to say what would happen to it. After all, AOL is pretty unstable by itself alone... much less with Microsoft tinkering with it.
